The Official Team Boyer

Tuesday 11/3 was adoption day for the Boyer family! It's always such an honor and amazing capturing these special moments. They are also one of our Promise Love Foundation Families we supported so it was so much fun to see them reach their goal, and be there for the beginning of this journey!  Congrats you guys!!

The Official Team Mize

This was a very happy day for dear friends of ours who finalized the adoption of their son Jacob Matthew!  An adoption finalization hearing is only about 10 minutes long but some of the most meaningful and life changing moments a family will experience. It's also one of those things you don't totally get unless you are there so that's why it's one of my favorite things to photograph.  Stephanie and John have 3 biological kids as well and this time I was watching their reaction.  Their 2 sweet girls we just overjoyed and overcome with emotion after Jay was legally their brother. They are so young, but so loving and compassionate, they totally get it and it is really just the most beautiful thing! Congrats you guys, it's the beginning of an amazing journey!!

{Melissa & Brian @ Tampa Palms Golf & Country Club}

First off, can we say how stunningly gorgeous Melissa looked in her blush gown?  Brian looked pretty handsome in his coordinating blue suit and pink tie:-)  Their wedding was full of very fun, and personal details which we absolutely love!  They had gift bags waiting for their guests at the hotel that had oranges, since Brian is from Florida, and Buckeye's (the chocolate and peanut butter kind), since Melissa is from Ohio.  Melissa's something old was her grandmother's diamond heart ring that she wore on her right hand. Something borrowed was a bracelet from her mother in law.  Something blue was an embroidered handkerchief and something new was her jewelry and shoes. They didn't see each other before the ceremony but read notes to each other and opened gifts. Brian gave her Michael Kors flip flops and jokingly wrote in the note…just in case you forget your new initials…MK for Melissa Kensrue :) She gave him a blue Kenneth Cole watch to match his suit.  Melissa's bouquet had a pendant from her Maid of Honor with the lyrics to her favorite Hillsong Song. We had an impromptu first look with Melissa's Dad. He was coming up to the bridal suite to see his little girl and I just so happened to catch him before he saw Melissa.  It was one of our favorite moments of the day and beyond sweet. Brian and Melissa's Pastor, Wes, married them under the patio at Tampa Palms with the beautiful view of the golf course. When they had their first kiss one of the little flower girls had the best reaction! The reception decor was pink, gray, and navy with lots of candles and mercury glass. Brian's sister-in-law, Julie, is a NY Pastry chef and made the macron favors. There were some special escort cards that were included at the reception.  Place cards for Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Chewbacca (for Brian's love of Star Wars:-), their dog Selene, and some of their favorite spots were mixed in with all of their guests cards. Alessi Bakery created their cupcake tower and they made a special cupcake for Brian with all of their icing flavors because during the tasting her tried every flavor, as he should!  Melissa told us they had several events leading up to the day of the wedding, and their whole goal was investing in family, friends, and love. That really was the perfect theme to celebrate their marriage!  Congrats Melissa and Brian it was truly amazing!!! xoxox

{Gianna & Cody}

Beautiful, elegant, and so unique. I love the style of Gianna and Cody's wedding because I actually can't put my finger on a word to describe it.  Gianna's gown was so beautiful with long sleeves and an open back.  The girls wore all different jewel toned dresses and the boys were in gray suits and Cody in Navy. The guys each wore awesome super hero socks each with a cape or wings!  Cody and Gianna didn't see each other beforehand, but from behind a door Cody said a prayer to start their day with the right focus. The location has a very interesting story as well. Jake English, who was also their officiant, actually grew up on this property and then had the opportunity to purchase it and build a house here. The setting was just stunning.  Before the ceremony Gianna's dad opened the door to see her for the first time before walking her down the aisle and it was such a sweet moment.  There was a chair and a settee setup in the front. On his way up the aisle Cody's step-mom gave him a rose and he set it on the chair that had a photo of he and his mother that had passed away, the tears were definitely flowing. They did a foot washing ceremony where Pastor Jake read from John 13:14. Gianna and Cody washed each other's foot as a sign of humility, devotion, and complete surrender to each other. The reception was all outside under lanterns and stringed lights.  Vignettes with white and green florals in sliver bowls, antiques, lace overlays, and candelabra's decorated the lawn.  It was extra fun because 3 of our other couples were there, Tiffany & Phil, Mariah & Tyler, and Ryan representing for he and Moira since she had to work. It was so nice seeing them!  There was a chill in the air, but perfect for a campfire, jackets & shawls, and dancing under the stars.  Gianna & Cody exit-ed into a 1961 Vintage Rolls Royce and are enjoying their honeymoon in St. Kitts!  Congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs!!! xoxoxo

{Raechel & Tim @ The Dali Museum}

Raechel and Tim had a stunning, art themed wedding at the Dali Museum. The details at this wedding were positively perfect!  From the gorgeous succulents that adorned the tables, to the art pallet escort cards, to the little canvas with the table numbers, it was so creative! Raechel chose light yellow, accents of gray and clover green, which was very fitting seeing as the couple got engaged in Ireland! Raechel is also a photographer and had adorable little camera clips throughout her hair and on the back of her necklace. The Dali museum has a "mustache garden", so the girls all wore mustache earrings.  Mustaches were also found on top of the cake and throughout the reception. The groomsmen all had pocket watches and wore charcoal suits with succulent boutonnieres. The ceremony was on the landing of the spiral staircase and their guests all watched from above.  The reception was outside and it could not have been a more beautiful evening.  Raechel went to Florida State, so there was some Tomahawk chopping, amazing food, toasts, cake, and lots of dancing. The newlyweds exited through a tunnel of sparklers into a vintage getaway car. Congrats Raechel and Tim!!! xoxoxo

{Danielle & Bryce @ Safety Harbor Resort and Spa}

"When I tell you I love you, I don't say it out of habit, or to make conversation. I say it to remind you that you are the best thing that ever happened to me".  That was what the picture frame Danielle gave Bryce said, and it really just sums of the energy and feel of their beautiful wedding day.  Danielle's gift arrived wrapped in purple and sequins personally wrapped by Bryce. Danielle's bouquet was a simple, with beautifully open lilac roses.  I love her style, simplicity with sparkle.  There were sparkles on her shoes and the band on her invitations.  The girls were in periwinkle, boys in dark gray with black & gray cool socks.  Danielle & Bryce said their vows in front of a huge stained glass backdrop at their church.  Some of my favorite moments of the day were right after the ceremony, hugs and happiness, especially Bryce's grandma:-)  The pretty sunlight by the sailboats and tall palm trees at Safety Harbor was just amazing.  When you opened the door to walk into the Four Springs Ballroom, it was stunning. Draped in white with lilac table overlays, lilac roses, with hydrangea and candles topped each table.  It was truly the perfect day and we loved capturing every moment!  Congrats Danielle & Bryce!!! xoxox

Bridal Shower in Wonderland Styled Shoot @ USF Botanical Gardens

We love collaborating with other talented "friendors" in Tampa to create something different and amazing.  The concept for this "Shower in Wonderland" came from Melissa, from Chefin, and Becky, from Tufted.  We are honored they asked us to photograph their vision!  Dennis  & MacKenzie and their actual bridal party were our fabulous models:-) Here's the detail straight from Melissa:

"The vision was to create a wedding shower in which the men could not only particpate, but actually have fun.  This was done through the incorporation of a gentlemen's lounge in which the guys could enjoy spirits, cards, and their own dessert table with a darker, more masculine color scheme.

Guests were greeted with cocktails and pastries in a setting that may allow them to feel as if they were "down the rabbit hole" which helped set the tone for the playful day which was to occur.

The men enjoyed a Queen of Hearts dessert table which included Cherry-Dark Chocolate Cupcakes, Rose Petal Truffle Cakes, Cake Pops, and Deck of Cards Iced Cookies and Cake. The Queen of Hearts theme was brought to life by using darker tones mixed with elements that elude to some of the Queen's favorite items: hearts, decks of cards, and even gold crowns; providing a perfect backdrop for the men to wager a bet on their own card game.

The girls enjoyed a brunch of tea and pastries in a more whimsical setting, which took a que from The Mad Hatter. The tea table was filled with endless cakes and pastries including Lavender Shortbread  Iced Cookies, Inidvidual Spice Cakes with Chai Cream,  Orange Creamsicle Truffles, Mini Raspberry Charlottes, Citrus Mousse Cake, and a Royal Charlotte with Cascading Fruit amongst other celebration cakes to fit the theme. The table was set with vintage pastels and elements to help subtly elude to the whimsical theme such as clocks, books, tea cups and pots, and even a white rabbit.  In true Wonderland fashion, the entire bridal party joined together for a game of crochet after their separate dessert celebrations."

Uncle Ben's Event @ Datz

Uncle Ben's is on a nationwide tour to encourage families to cook healthy dinners at home with their children! They are holding cooking classes in different restaurants across the United States. In Tampa, the class was held at Datz! The children that attended the class had a fantastic time learning some basics of cooking and actually getting to prepare a meal! The representatives from Uncle Ben's educated the children and their parents on the importance of learning to cook tasty and healthy meals at a young age.  Great food and lots of fun!

Lily's 1st Birthday Party

This little cutie had quite the birthday party to celebrate her first year of life!  Pink everything! Pinwheels, striped and polka dot straws, balloons, and pom poms.  The sweets table was to die for!  Cut out cookies, cake pops, and sprinkles on everything.  Lily wore a darling little frilly pink dress, and had her very own cake.  She made sure she licked all the frosting off her fingers:-) Lily's parents went all out to make this day special for their beautiful daughter! Happy birthday Lily!!!!! xoxoxo
