Tampa Bay Proposal Photographer

You know you're ready. You just need help making it perfect. We've helped plan dozens of surprise proposals all across Tampa Bay, and we'll walk you through every detail — the location, the timing, how to get your partner there without suspecting a thing — so all you have to do is ask the question.

At Carrie Wildes Photography, we specialize in surprise proposal photography across Tampa Bay. From the white sand beaches of Clearwater and St. Pete to the waterfront parks of downtown Tampa and beyond, we know exactly how to blend in, stay hidden, and still capture every tear, every laugh, and every look between you two in stunning, crystal-clear detail.

This is the moment that starts the rest of your story. We've had the privilege of being there for dozens of Tampa Bay proposals — and every single one still gives us chills. Let us make sure you never forget a single second of yours.

How it works…..

Planning a surprise proposal doesn't have to be stressful — working with us makes it one of the easiest parts of your day. Here's what to expect:

1. Schedule a Discovery Call and share your vision (if you don’t have one yet that’s ok, we can help!) — Tell us where you're thinking, what time of day, and a little about your partner and your story. We'll help you think through every detail.

2. We scout and plan with you — We know Tampa Bay's best proposal locations inside and out. Whether you want a golden hour beach proposal in Clearwater, a quiet waterfront moment at Ballast Point Park, or a romantic spot in downtown St. Pete, we'll help you find the perfect setting.

3. We arrive early and stay hidden — On the day of, we're already in position before you arrive. We stay completely out of sight using professional long lenses until the moment has happened.

4. We capture every second — The question, the reaction, the happy tears, the hug, the first moments as an engaged couple. After the actual proposal we’ll guide you some portraits that feel natural and capture this new step in your relationship.

5. We’ll send you some sneak peeks within 24 hours so you can share the great news and then 7-10 days after we’ll setup a design consultation to see all your photos, show you how to use your online gallery and how to preserve them in print.

Frequently Asked Questions

Ready to start planning your perfect proposal?

  • We recommend reaching out at least 2–4 weeks before your planned date — sooner if you're planning around a holiday or popular date like Valentine's Day or New Year's Eve. That said, we always try to accommodate last-minute requests, so don't hesitate to reach out even if your timeline is tight.

  • We arrive at the location early and get into position before you arrive. Using professional long lenses, we stay a comfortable distance away — far enough to be completely invisible, close enough to capture every expression and emotion in sharp, beautiful detail.

  • Absolutely — and we love this! Once the surprise is revealed and the happy tears have settled, we'll come out and spend a little time doing beautiful portraits of the two of you. It's the perfect way to celebrate and start building your engagement gallery all on the same day.

  • Yes! We're based in Tampa Bay but available for travel throughout Florida and beyond. Destination proposals are always a special adventure — reach out and let's talk about your vision.

  • Many of our proposal clients go on to book us for their wedding, which we love. When you book both, we already know your faces, your energy, and what makes your relationship unique — which means your wedding day portraits feel even more natural and relaxed. Ask us about booking both together.
