It doesn’t look cold but it actually was quite chilly for our session with Alecia & Donald. But, perfect for Alecia’s super stylish best and boots. I have to say, they have very photogenic fur babies, Kaci and CooperJ Their joy and laughter is just plain fun and contagious, we can’t wait until their wedding 9.17.16 at the Florida Aquarium!
Melissa & Joshua live in Germany, but flew home for a sweet, intimate wedding with their family at The Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay. Melissa's dad had the biggest smile on his face when he saw his beautiful daughter before they walked down the boardwalk to meet Joshua. Right after the sunset we went up to Armani's on the rooftop to catch the beautiful dusk sky and views of the bay. Congrats Melissa & Joshua!
Kristen and Eddie got hitched at A La Carte Event Pavilion and it was quite the partaaay! The girls had so much fun getting ready, drinking champagne and saying quotes from their favorite movies like it was a secret language. Laughter filled every moment of Kristen and Eddie's day. Even while they were standing at the alter kristen was so excited she couldn't help but make funny gestures! But, with all the laughter came many tears of joy from Kristen, her girls and many of the guests. Watching a couple so happy and in love was truly moving. We had so much fun taking wedding party pictures after the ceremony! The reception was an elegant black and white with lots of uplighting and draping. Kristen gave her grandfather the first piece of wedding cake and she wore her grandmother's garter. DJ Speedy really knows how to turn it up. Everyone was on the dance floor before dinner was even over! Then to top it all off they brought out glow sticks and the flower girl showed off her awesome moves. Kristen and Eddie said they have the most amazing family and friends and they wanted their wedding to be the happiest most fun party and it absolutely was! Congrats!!!! xoxoxox

Michelle Butler is the author of Trendy Bride, she's a wedding photographer as well as writing this blog that inspires brides to create their amazing weddings. I really like her writing style and she described Samantha and Ryan's wedding as "gilded day full of sentimentality and sophistication". Definitely check our the full feature on Trendy Bride!
Ybor is definitely Jennifer and Fazial's stomping ground. They even knew quite a few people just walking around. Ella and Gia their Yorkie and Chihuahua joined us as well. They have been together for 6.5 years and met at the Ybor Saturday Market. They were trying to re-create their first date and Faizal got up on the stage like he was going to sing Karaoke and called Jennifer up and proposed instead!
Channelside has all kinds of both pretty and fun spots that you wouldn't necessarily expect. We got to spend time with Lauren and Brett for their engagement session there:-) You can't beat a Wet Willie's frozen adult beverage on a warm Florida day! We are so looking forward to their wedding coming up 6.13.14!
Nick and Kerri live in St. Pete and love spending time and going out downtown. It was a chilly day in Florida so perfect boot and sweater weather! I love Kerri's gray jacket, it was a Christmas present from Nick:-) They are so fun and we can not wait until their wedding on 4.19.14!!! xoxoxo

Locke proposed to Rachael on their annual beach vacation in North Carolina so a Florida destination wedding on the beach was where they chose to have their family and friends come celebrate with them! It was quite a chilly day for us Floridians, but to them, coming from Iowa it was paradise! Rachel had custom cuff links made for locke with their monogram and date on them. Locke also had a custom tie clip that read “ I do… Forever”! Locke gave Rachael's mother a beautiful bracelet that read “ I will always take care of her, I love you, Locke” That is the most special thing I have ever seen a groom do! Just beautiful. Some other details included a custom purple hanger for rachels dress, A wooden cutout of Florida for their guests to sign and I love Rachael's pink diamond ring. The glowing deep orange sky after sunset was their backdrop for the reception. Congrats Rachael and Locke! xoxoxo

Allie and Eric are getting married at the Lange Farm and with some many beautiful spots, they wanted to take advantage of that location for their engagement session too! 4.27.14 they will be tying the knot! We can't wait!
Tina and Eric's wedding day was full of so many amazing moments and lots of awesome details! While the girls were getting ready, the guys were playing horseshoes on the lawn. They of course needed to test out the lawn games for their guests at cocktail hour! Cross Creek ranch had a very important checklist for Eric in the man cave:-) Tina looked beautiful in her simple gathered gown and the girls in flowy pink dresses. Even though their ceremony was outside, they entered through wooden double doors with wreaths on them and little burlap bows going down the aisle. Here's another awesome favor idea, little jars of honey that said "Meant to Bee" on them. There were burlap accents everywhere, T + E in a heart for the drinks and on the cake. They also did a trail mix station that said "toss in some raisins for when we grow old together". Twinkle lights, vintage furniture, chalkboards, and a headboard for their menu. It was a perfect evening for their outdoor wedding!! Congrats Tina and Eric!!! xoxox
I think Kathryn and Don have the most well behaved furry four legged family member we've worked with:-) We had so much fun with Kathryn, Don, and Buddy! Here's some of our favs from Fort Desoto!
Kamila and Chris had a simple, yet beautiful, garden themed wedding. Kamila wore a beautiful vera wang dress and the girls wore long flowy charcoal gray dresses with a black sash and white flowers. They said their I do's under the big oak tree. Their guests enjoyed lawn games like horseshoes, croquet, and cornhole during the cocktail hour. Cross Creek recently did a brick path and flooring on in the rustic barn and it looks amazing! Each of the tables had different china table settings on them to go with the garden theme. Everyone enjoyed the fun party, cake, and sweets table! After all the festivities were over their exited to sparkers. Congrats Kamila and Chris!! xoxo
Sarah and Danny both love sports and actually met on a soccer field! I absolutely their engagement story:
"After a long hard day at work, Sarah was coming home to spend a nice quiet Valentine's Day with her boyfriend Danny. When she opened the door she saw a sign that said "WILL" followed by a trail of rose pedals leading to the next sign. That sign said "YOU" followed by more rose pedals to a sign that said "BE". The last sign she could see said "MY". The rose pedals went into the kitchen and Sarah was getting excited thinking that it was going to say " WILL YOU BE MY VALENTINE". But here was the curve ball. Instead of the last sign saying Valentine, it said "WIFE" and Danny was on one knee and asked Sarah if she would marry him. Sarah cried, which made Danny cry, but she did say yes."
Here's some of our fans from their session at UT. We actually had to reschedule it 3 times because of rain but 3rd time was a charm! We decided the backdrop of the evening sky gave them a super hero look:-) So fun!!!! I can't wait till their wedding on 3.1.14!!
Tennille wore the perfect flowy gown, and the girls in light pink bridesmaid dresses for their wedding on Sand Key Beach. One of my favorite little details was the program, one side had all the names of the bridal party and how they were special to them. Matt went to Ohio State and gave the guys OSU bags as their gifts and there was some O-H-I-O going on. Their reception was on the open deck of the Clearwater Sailing Center. Decorated with beige and white linens and white florals. Their escort cards were little bags for the guests to fill with treats. Tennille's sister, Lindsey, was her maid of honor and gave a pretty fabulous toast along with a special gift from her and Cory. Apparently, Tennille always swerves when she sees a turtle on the road and Matt believed her when she told him it was a law! They have an official sign, so now it's a law in their house:-) Tennille use to be our studio manager before she started Tumblebus Tampa, so we are SO happy to see and Matt so happy and starting off their journey of life together!!! xoxoxo
Rachel and Ryan's wedding colors are coral and navy and I love that for their engagement session they incorporated those with fun shoes! We love hearing how people met here's Rachel and Ryan's story:
"About two years ago, Ryan and I met while we were both visiting Charleston, South Carolina. I was with my 2 best friends having a girls weekend. Ryan was in Charleston for a port call while the boat he was stationed was in port (he's in the Coast Guard). Ryan and his friend spotted me and my friends while we were taking fun photos. Ryan made a point to make sure he received my phone number.
It was love at first sight. Later that night, My girlfriends and I went to a rooftop bar for a bite to eat and some drinks. We then had a round of drinks sent to us from a group of gentlemen across the bar. I then look up and notice that Ryan was part of that group. Ryan and I were inseparable the rest of the visit. And our love for each other grew :)"
We are so excited to be capturing their wedding story on 11.16.13 at the Florida Aquarium!!!
The Bohemian Hotel in Celebration was the perfect location for Samantha and Brad's garden wedding and Alice in Wonderland inspired reception. Brad's sister, Melissa, worked with Sam, and invited her to a graduation party where she and Brad first met:-) It's extra special because we get to work with Melissa in the wedding industry, and are so honored to get to know, and photograph her brother and new sister in law's wedding!
Sam's gown was stunning! Organza with just 2 small butterfly accents and sparkly Chanels. The girls had knee length flowy grey dresses with yellow heels. I absolutely loved that Brad and his mom had a special moment before ceremony. The patio had bright red chandeliers and a arch that matched it perfectly. The reception decor had lounge furniture, chess tables, and green and gold accents. Sam had swag bags for their guests with some of their favorite things. She changed it to a short lace dress to dance the night away and they exited with sparklers. I don't think it could have been any more perfect! Congrats Sam and Brad!! xoxoxo
I have a questionnaire I send out when our brides first contact us, and on there is "tell us how you met or random facts". I always love reading what people tell me, and I couldn't sum it up better than Heather, so here's what she told me:
"Jason and I met at a krewe meeting....I didn't remember him, something he has NEVER let me live down! We have a ton of mutual friends yet we are nothing alike...I truly believe it was meant to be, as I spent many years living outside of Tampa, which is my home. I decided after many years away that I was going to come home and make a life for myself here, good or bad...I met Jason 2 days later and here we are getting married. Jason is the life of the party, very talkative and extremely kind, he is everything I never dreamed I would find!!! We both love our families immensely...almost as much as we love beer!!! He is a fourth degree blackbelt in karate while I take boxing classes and try to beat him up whenever he isn't looking...that almost never works in my favor. We have 3 cats, no children and a fantastically busy life that I wouldn't trade for anything in the world. We aren't perfect, but we work perfectly together."
I love her last sentence. Their wedding was exactly how Heather described them, full of family, friends, and a lot of laughter! They had party masks for everyone and Heather wore teal shoes with peacock feathers for the ceremony and aqua cowboy boots for the reception. I especially love their cake topper, you have to look from behind to see what i mean:-) Jason's best man gave a little more of a roast than a toast and had everyone laughing till their were tears in their eyes. Congrats Heather and Jason!! xoxoxo
Liana flowers were coral calla lilies with tiny photos of her 2 grandfathers, grandmother, and great uncle that had passed away. Rhinestones were swirled around the heels of her shoes and covered her clutch. The girls wore knee length flowy coral dresses and the guys were in black tuxes with coral accents. Aaron works in aviation and his cuff links were little propellers. They said their I do's in front of the big aquarium and my favorite little penguins even walked down the aisle too:-)
Liana and Aaron's dogs Rudy and Tiger are their furry little children, and they had a custom made cake topper with their new family on it! The words in frosting on the cake were all of their favorite things to say to each other. An amazing evening had by all ending with a sparkler exit. Congrats Liana and Aaron!! xoxoxo

Alysa and Kyle had the prettiest pink and black wedding on the 16th floor sky terrace! Alysa's flowers had just a hint of very thin black feathers. The boys wore pink argyle socks and were doing some arm wresting and having a pretty good time hanging out before the ceremony:-) The girls were in black dresses and fun bright pink shoes. The sky terrace is one of the prettiest locations to get married in Clearwater. It's water view all around and you don't have to touch the sand! One of the groomsmen decided to take a little siesta on the comfy lounge furniture while we were doing bridal party pics. While the sun is setting, there is always such beautiful golden light and we had a gorgeous sunset. The reception was draped in white with black linens and pink center floral center pieces. A nice little touch was the draping and monogram right behind Alysa and Kyle. The evening was full of joy and emotion! We snuck out of the reception for a few night pics and they got lots of congratulations from everyone on the boardwalk. When you're in a wedding dress it's basically celebrity status:-) Congrats Alysa and Kyle!!! xoxoxo
