Sarasota Yacht Birthday Party | Marie’s 80th Celebration on the Dream Maker

There’s something so special about milestone celebrations—not just the number, but the people who gather to celebrate with you. For Marie’s 80th birthday, her daughter Lia-Michelle and her boyfriend came down from NYC to make sure it was unforgettable.

Before the big celebration, we stopped at a gorgeous Sarasota park to take a few portraits of the three of them together. I always suggest this when families gather, because those moments are rare and it’s the perfect opportunity to capture portraits you’ll treasure forever.

The real party began aboard the 44ft yacht, Dream Maker, with Kokomo Charters. Captain Vanessa and her team created such a fun experience cruising the bay, enjoying the warm breeze, and taking in a breathtaking Sarasota sunset.

But what stood out the most wasn’t the yacht, the views, or even the incredible cake from Slice of Heaven (though that was truly epic). It was the people. Marie’s neighbors—her closest friends —filled the yacht with laughter, love, and genuine joy. They’ve built a community where everyone looks out for one another, and the way they celebrated Marie made it clear how deeply she’s cherished. Honestly, after spending time with them, I wanted to move into their neighborhood too!

Marie’s 80th wasn’t just a party—it was a reminder that life’s greatest gift is the love and friendship we surround ourselves with.
