We had a lot of fun with Stephany for her senior portrait session! Just across the river from Cincinnati, so actually in Kentucky there are some really cool old streets and such a great view of the city. Stephany loves playing her guitar and her friend Nathalia joined us for some as well. Here's some of our favs! Congrats on your graduation coming up soon!
I have to "toot or own horn" a little bit, if we don't who will right:-) So wanted to share some awesome news! Feedback is so important to us, both so we can continuously be improving, and also for new engaged couples to see the great experience our couples have had with us. There are a lot of photographers out there, and couples have so many choices of style, personality, quality and price so we are always striving to set ourselves apart. We are excited to announce that we have the honor of two 2013 awards recently. One is the 2013 The Knot Best of Weddings, which is the top 5% of wedding professionals based on area and reviews and experiences by clients. We don't advertise with the Knot, so it truly is based on feedback and was a nice surprise!
The 2nd one is Two Bright Lights Editors' Choice Awards. Two Bright Lights is what we submit our weddings to blogs and magazine's for featured publication. Everyone's wedding story is so different and unique and we love to share them! This award is based on the number of features in 2012 and demonstration of superior quality of work that place us in the top 5% off all TBL members.
Nathalia is a senior this year and wanted to do some of her pics with her friend Stephany as well:-) Carla photographed them in some really cool locations in Cincinnati, the colors and textures are amazing, I love the random piano they found too. Here's some of our favs!!
We photographed Tobi and Leonard's wedding in 2010 and are so excited for them that they have a new little addition to their family:-) Little Cameron was about a week old when Carla got to photograph him. Leonard is a firefighter and Cameron actually fits in his fire helmet. Tobi also found a cute little fireman's outfit for him. They have a really sweet humungous dog that loves little Cameron as well. Congrats you guys!!! xoxoxo
Being based in Florida, when I think Powel Crosley Estate, of course Sarasota comes to mind. Actually, Powel Crosley Jr. was from Cincinnati Ohio and is known for radios, broadcasting, and owning the Cincinnati Reds:-) I looked it up because I think it's so interesting. The Sarasota Powel Crosley estate happened to be his summer home called Seagate. Emily and Brad's wedding story that you will see here is at his original home in Cincinnati, equally as gorgeous and an amazing property. Emily's style was very pretty and romantic, the girls wore grey, and the guys black tuxes with gray vests. We even got a shot of Emily's dress with her mom's dress, which I really liked that she incorporated that personal detail in. The theme was around wine, with wine corks for their table numbers and intials. The lawn was tented and draped with tall colorful center pieces and different flavored cup cakes for their guests. After the ceremony we had time to stop at a few history downtown locations with the bridal party, the old stone walls and beautiful sunlight was just amazing! One of my favorite parts of the day was when Emily tossed her bouquet over the balcony her grandmother who was sitting there was surprised to have caught it, so sweet! Here's just a little taste of their day! Congrats Emily and Brad!!! xoxoxox

This is such an awesome idea that we haven't actually done before but I love it!! Diana's son was graduating from Northern Kentucky University and she wanted to invest in having the event documented. Like a wedding, college graduation is a one time event and they had their relatives all there to celebrate. Why not take the opportunity to capture that? Love it!! Here's a few of our favs of the event, some sweet ones of Joseph and his family and some super funny ones of him and his friends. Congrats Joseph and best wishes in your new career!
Miss Hannah is a Class of 2012 graduating Senior! I love seniors, they are so full of excitement and potential for what their future holds next. Hannah is going to school for nursing and also is a talented musician:-) Carla, our studio manager and portrait photograher photographed her session in Rabbit Hash, KY. She really captured her personality will all the different funky random backgrounds and outfits. Here's some of our favs!
So you probably don't know this, but Carla, our fabulous studio manager is also a talented photographer:-) This is her debut session on the blog with miss Jessica and her horse in northern Kentucky. They hiked down a huge hill, trapsed through a river and met a very interesting farmer along the way. I love how this showcases Jessica's personality. The ones of her riding in the field of tall weeds are amazing!! Her sister also let her wear those fun boots!
