{Avila Golf and Country Club Wedding | Jan & Mark}

Jan and Mark wanted a fun party with all their favorite people to celebrate their wedding.  They totally nailed it!  Jan got ready with her mom, Marion, her daughter Jessica, and Mark's daughter, KD who were her 2 bridesmaids.  These candid moments during getting ready are some of my favorite.  They danced, drank mimosas and just had a sweet time.  Jan's gown was so perfect! She had showed me a photo before and said she was adding a pearl belt and it was simple but stunning!  That mauve color is so in right now and my favorite color.  Their bouquets had amnesia roses that matched Jessica and KD's dresses perfectly.  Mark and the guys got ready in the lounge before we did a first look with them.  Since it is June here in Florida they choose Avila Golf and Country Club because you literally don't have to go outside at all, not even for photos.  My 2 favorite things about this venue is the beautiful light that comes through the atrium and the 2nd floor where you can shoot down from. It makes for two totally different perspectives of first look, the ceremony, and dancing.  Before the guests arrived, Jan walked down the aisle for Mark to see her as her mom and the girls watched from above.  We got all their bridal and family photos done before the ceremony so they could spend as much time as possible with their guests.  Rev Rick performed a beautiful ceremony and announced them as the official Mr. & Mrs. Budzinski.  Their reception was decor was these beautiful lace linen overlaying purple with silver chivaris and alternating high and low florals.  Jan and Mark did their first dance on the round medallion in the atrium with all their guests watching.  Jan's daughter Jessica and her boyfriend Kyle have been dating for a while so she and Mark had a little surprise presentation of the bouquet and garter for them during the reception.  They had an amazing spread of all different mini desserts and a cigar roller in the lounge outside.  Everyone had such an amazing time!!  I have to give an extra shout out to Laura Wade, from Serendipity Events for creating a flawless event with this team of fabulous professionals below.  Congratulations Jan and Mark and thank you for having us!!!! xoxoox

{Ana & Jason Wedding @ Davis Island Garden Club}

What a beautiful day for Ana & Jason's wedding! The girls drank rose while helping Ana get in that gorgeous gown and red sparkly heels.  Their color palette was red, black, and white and everything down to their black diamond wedding bands and Ana's perfume coordinated.  Ana gave the girls fabulous black necklaces and earrings to match their gowns.  Jason and the boys were in black tuxes with red bow ties and converse.  His tuxedo socks were awesome!  Jason definitely shed a tear as Ana walked down the aisle to meet him.  They shared their super sweet vows on the waterfront at the Davis Island Garden Club and we had the prettiest light at dusk for photos of the 2 of them.  The reception was styled with damask linens and the same exact matching pattern on the cake.  Their guest sign in was a wood and glass frame with everyone signing little wooden hearts to but in it.  They enjoyed every second of the party and then we snuck the out for a few night photos in the gazebo.  Congratulations Ana & Jason you have such a beautiful and fun family and we so enjoyed being a part of it!!! xoxox

{Madison & Matthew @ The Tampa Club}

Madison is usually zipping around the Tampa Club making sure all the details of their couple's weddings are going smoothly, but this time it was her turn to be the bride!! It's always so special to photograph our friendors on their best day ever!!  Since these 2 bleed garnet and gold it was pretty fitting for their wintery Florida wedding details and those colors look especially amazing at the Tampa Club.  Madison looked gorgeous in that simple but so elegant gown. Her heels were encrusted with pearls and the guys had ties that coordinated perfectly with the bridesmaids garnet flowy dresses.  The Tampa Club was draped in white with mahogany chivaris and gold with pink and white florals.  That moment when Matt saw Madison walking towards her, uh still gets us every time.  Their wedding hashtag was #downstheaisle!!!!  I LOVE shooting on the grand staircase and the wine room.  The view of the sunset from the top of Tampa is pretty amazing as well. Everything in the reception was accented in gold and garnet with a little bit of sparkle and gold mercury glass.  Let me tell you, this group knows how to party, we had such an amazing time and could not be happier for the brand new Mr. & Mrs. Downs!!!! xoxoxox

{Melanie & Terrance @ T Pepin Hospitality Centre}

This juniper green with sangria and pink accents was perfect Melanie and Terrance's December wedding.  The flowers blooming at Pepin even matched!  I LOVE that juniper color on these ladies, it looks fabulous with the guys in black tuxes.  Terrance and the guys were ready in time for a game of pool and for him to write Melanie a super sweet card.  They got married in front of the fountains with the sunlight shining behind them at Pepin.  Everything was beyond happy to see them become Mr. & Mrs. Anderson!  I love the brick covered Ivy and those fountains!  We had a blast with this group, so pretty, and the guys, hilarious.  The reception had pink and white florals with holly berries and patterned linens.  The 4 tiered cake had gold crystal and a matching cake topper.  It's always so crazy even for us, how fast the reception just flies by.  We snuck them out for some night time photos by the fiery fountain.  Everyone left with a little love cookie favor right after their bubble exit!  Congrats Melanie & Terrance, what a perfect way to end our 2017 weddings!!! xoxoxo

{Stephen & Laura @ The Tampa Club}

I'm in love with the new trend of two piece gowns!  Laura had two different tops, one for the ceremony with lace that was ivory and one for photos at Tampa Club that was more champagne and a little sparkly.  Laura's BFF's Katie and Mark were here Maid of Honor and Man of Honor and literally made sure every detail was perfect the entire day.  Stephen's brother was his Best Man and his sister Lydia was his groomsmaid. We did a first look with Laura's side of the wedding party and their reaction was just priceless at how stunning she looked.  Father Zach at Sacred Heart married them in a gorgeous ceremony.  One of the things he said I thought was an awesome idea, was that on their anniversary they should re-read the readings that were read on this day and remember their wedding vows and how special this day was!  It was a perfectly cloudy day for lots of photos on the steps of the historic Le Meredien right next door.  There was even a little breeze (and help from Katie:-) to sweep up that chapel length veil.  I would call their wedding style "fancy and fun" with everyone in black with burgundy white and greenery in the flowers.  Add that the gold sparkly reception accents, wine cork place cards, and that cake and it's pretty fabulous!  Their wedding day was also one of the bridesmaid's daughter's birthdays so they did a little surprise cake for her. Laura's grandparents won the generation dance, having been married the longest, 60+ years.  When the DJ asked her grandma to share some marriage advice she said "say yes a lot"!!  They were literally the cutest couple ever!  Once the dance floor was open it was packed the entire time.  They had a few little surprises for their guests as well. Stephen loves popcorn so they had a late night snack and an entire spread of mini desserts.  As everyone was leaving there was a little coffee bean favor that said, "All you need is Love and Coffee"!  Laura and Stephen we could not be happier for you and that we got to be there for it all!!! xoxoxox

{Lauren & Anibal @ The Cuban Club}

Miriam and Haley photographed Lauren & Anibal's gorgeous day.  I (Carrie) am actually going to write about this one since I got to be a guest since David and I have been friends with them since before they were even dating!  There's nothing better than being a guest at a wedding my team is photographing:-)  The love these two have for one another is beyond words as you'll see.  I love the gray and navy color scheme with the gray floral dresses Lauren choose for Fallon and Noelle, her MOHs.  Lauren's mom, Denise, and Fallon and Noelle helped her get in that gorgeous lace gown.  If you know Anibal, the American flag socks he and the groomsmen were wearing were perfect.  (there might have also been a flask with a flag on it too).  Just before the ceremony they held hands around the corner outside the church, both overcome with tears and joy, I love how that photo captures that.  The same goes for when Denise walked Lauren down the aisle to give her daughter to be married.  They attend Bay Hope Church, and I know it was extra special that Pastor Matthew was there to marry them.  They took communion together, and then they actually served communion to all their guests which I hadn't seen before and was really unique and awesome.  Their party bus whisked them off for photos around Ybor and then to the Cuban Club.  It was decorated in silver, white and had a cupcake tower on each table.  They had champagne mango, strawberry basil, and key lime Hyppo pops for everyone which was the perfect touch for a Florida June wedding.  Their sweetheart table had the most fabulous white leather button back sofa.  They had a couple surprises up their sleeves for everyone.  Anibal had a surprise serenade for Lauren that of course included his best man Peter. Their friend Tal, who is a spoken word artist, brought the word to them about marriage.  Toasts, cake, cupcakes, bouquet, a little switcheroo with who happened to be wearing the garter and it was all dancing after that.   I have to say, there were some particular guests including Tal, Andres, and my husband David who were the stars of the dance floor.  Miriam and Haley snuck them away for some really cool night photos around the Cuban club and before we knew it, it was the last dance.  They captured all these amazing moments perfectly, I couldn't be prouder of our team and I was honored to be there as a guest.  Congratulations to the brand new Mr. & Mrs. Cabrera!!!

{Erin & Joe @ The Tampa Club}

I knew I was going to love these 2 when Erin told me her dress was going to be navy and gold!  She had a small little piece of her mom's wedding gown that she pinned at the bottom of her dress. I also learned what a "tussie mussie" is. If you've ever seen those ornate metal bouquet holders, otherwise known as Victorian posey holders or tussle mussies.  Erin had them on her and her bridesmaids' bouquets.  Erin's dad gave her beautiful earrings as a gift and since her dress had a lower back she wore a purple amethyst necklace backwards. On our way to the church we stopped at Erin's work to give some quick hugs to her coworkers and they were just so happy and excited it was the sweetest! Their bridal party was all family, Erin's sister, her husband, Joe's brother, his wife and their 2 kids were the ring bearers.  They looked so amazing in Navy and white florals.  The green ivy walkways outside the church and evening setting of downtown Tampa made for the perfect setting for the photos.  The reception style was white, gold, and navy with hints of green.  Even the cake was accented in gold confetti.  After Erin and Joe had their first dance and Erin danced with her dad, Erin's mom had some something specially written for Joe. She asked Joe if he would dance with her, in honor of his mom who had passed away when he was 19.  I can't really describe how special and emotional it was, but it's those kind of moments that are just so priceless and why I am obsessed with weddings.   This was such a beautiful day of these 2 families booming one family, it was amazing! Congrats Erin and Joe!!! xoxoxo

Ivy Astoria Romantic Teal and Gold Styled Shoot

Yesterday we showed you the outdoor space at the brand new Ivy Astoria and part 2 is a peek at their indoor space.  Jennifer and Liz created a totally different concept that has an upscale romantic feel.  Some of the same elements were used like the farm table and gold chargers, but this indoor space has a totally different feel.  I love how the brown chairs coordinate perfectly with the wooden favors of different words and hearts.  Burgundy napkins and the flowers on the cake give it that extra little pop of color against the gold and teal.  The white draping helps create 2 lounge areas that really just pulls this space all together.  My 2 favorite aspects of this indoor space itself are the unique crystal chandeliers and the hardwood floors they really make it so versatile but simple and pretty.  Everyone involved pulled off not just one, but 2 different styles which is a ton of work and totally paid off.  Amazing job everyone!

{Jessica & Jeff @ The Tampa Marriott Waterside }

Jessica and Jeff are just plain meant for each other.  Before they had even met, Jessica literally walked through Jeff's door and he told his friends, "that is the girl I am going to marry" and he did!  While the girls were getting ready, Jessica gave her mom a lace handkerchief that said “Mom, to remember the day when you gave me away” since her mom was going to be walking her down the aisle.  Her mom helped her get into her dress and used a knitting hook to secure the crystal buttons down the back of it.  It had a strapless, fitted, bodice with lace details and a long train. When Jessica's Grandma saw her, tears filled her eyes. She could not believe her baby Granddaughter is all grown up!  Jeff opened a gift from Jessica while getting ready, it was a pocket watch engraved with “The beginning of forever”.  He gave the guys beer pong red solo cup socks and the finishing touch was tic tack toe cufflinks. The ceremony was decorated with gold chivari chairs tied with blush ribbon. The front table had was topped with a gold sequined linen that held their unity sand as well as two silver roses. The silver roses open and held their rings, such a unique detail.  Jessica told me before the ceremony that she had never seen Jeff cry.  Well, she can't say that anymore.  When the doors opened and he saw his beautiful bride, Jeff's eyes filled with tears, it was the sweetest! After a sweet ceremony their officiant, who is a dear friend, pronounced them husband and wife. One kiss was not enough, not even two, but three sealed the deal for these sweet newlyweds! While we were taking family photos on the second floor, we had an unexpected wedding crasher. A lady walked by with an owl! So of course, we had to take photos with him.  The reception was decorated with tall floral arrangements, blush linens and a strawberry on each champagne flute. The head table had a lit Mr. & Mrs. sign with their monogram behind it. Jeff is a fireman, and his new mother in law made a vintage fire truck for the cake table. She said it took many hours and hard work but Jeff was worth it.   After their first dances, dinner was served then the party began! We snuck Jeff and Jessica outside for some nighttime shots on the Riverwalk before saying goodnight to these two. We had such a great time photographing this sweet couple.  Congrats Jessica and Jeff! xoxoxo

{Nichole & Michael @ The Marriott Waterside Tampa}

Black, gold & ivory (with a touch of sparkle) was the color palette for Nichole & Michael's wedding day.  They have 3 girls and a boy who were all a big part of the wedding.  While Nichole was getting ready one of the girls snuck a little peek at how gorgeous she looked!  Chloe, their youngest, is just about to start walking and had the cutest little gold shoes that matched Nichole's sparkly gold ones.  Mike loves hunting, and Nichole's gift to him was a custom bowtie made of pheasant feathers.  We did a first look in front of the big windows over looking the water and their family and bridal party watched from above.  Their ceremony was on the back terrace lined with palm trees.  Nichole walked down the grand staircase with her dad and her stepdad  officiated the ceremony.  Their reception was decorated with black and gold and tall white rose florals and glittery gold table numbers.  Their guests each had a monogrammed napkin and a little surprise lottery ticket by their place setting. Hopefully someone won big:-)  Nichole had the sweetest dance with her dad and Mike tried to dance with his 3 girls but Zoe was the only one who wanted to!  Bay Kings Band made it such a fun party! {Angell & Jared @ Tampa Palms Golf and Country Club}

Angell and Jared's wedding style was full of gorgeous florals and personal details.  Angell has a self proclaimed Etsy obsession which made her details on point:-) She had hand engraved hangers for each of the girls dresses, and custom champagne flutes.  Angell is an only child and when Jared's brother brought his gift for Angell to open, she hugged him she said "now I have a brother!:-)".  When she opened the beautiful earrings and necklace the girls all said "he went to Jared's" which he did lol.  Angell gave him a pocket watch engraved with their initials. The covered patio at Tampa Palms allowed them to still be outside even though it was a rainy day, which is good luck of course!  They wrote personal vows to each other and there was not a dry eye in the audience.  They did a rope type ceremony where they tied a fisherman's knot because it is said to be the strongest.  Angell was prepared for the weather, and the clear umbrellas made for some awesome photos with the raindrops lit by off camera flash.  The incorporated their love for wine in the reception decor.  They had Keel and Curley wine bottles as vases on their escort card table with custom engraved corks for their guests to take home.  There was a hint of bling on their table numbers, head table, and the entire cake was sparkly!  The centerpieces were just plain stunning.  Their maid of honor and best man gave the sweetest toasts and then Angell changed into cute sparkly flats to dance the night away.  They ended the night perfectly with the last dance being just the 2 of them to have a few minutes to soak it all in before exiting through sparklers!  Congrats Angell & Jared!!

{Susan & Mike @ The Florida Aquarium Tampa}

Susan and Mike’s evening wedding at the Florida Aquarium had accents of dark purple and silver.  Susan looked gorgeous in her lace-accented gown with off the shoulder sleeves.  Mike’s son, Mikey, had the rings secured in a combination lock safe as the ring security.  Susan and Mike had a quiet few moments together for their “first look but not look” just before the ceremony.  The vows were some of my favorite moments.  As they said them to each other, both had tears flowing down their cheeks.  After it was official, the penquins, who are always dressed for a wedding walked down the aisle first!  As we were doing bridal party photos we noticed a little red lady bug that looked so real!  Scott, from Apple Blossoms, later told me it is their signature.  It means good luck, and that nothing leaves their workshop without one, so awesome.  Their guests enjoyed cocktails and the aquarium exhibits while the ceremony space was transformed into the reception for dinner and dancing with a backdrop of sharks, turtles, and an eel.  They dark purple accents with black linens and silver chivari chairs was so pretty.  The cookie table had favor bags that said "Love is Sweet & So are Cookies" along with boxes for everyone to take cake with them!  They danced and toasted and had an amazing evening! Congrats Susan & Mike!!! xoxoxo

{Alyssa & Josh @Tampa Palms Country Club}

Alyssa and Josh’s wedding style was subtle fall accents and a red, orange and gold color palette.  Alyssa looked just plain gorgeous in her layered, organza gown with a crystal sash and feather hairpiece.  The ceremony was under the verandah at Tampa Palms decorated with a white runner, lanterns and coordinating florals.  During the ceremony they did the wine ceremony, which symbolizes to lives blending together as one.  Alyssa’s mom and Josh’s mom each poured a glass of wine into a single glass for them to then serve each other.  Josh stomped on the glass (a different one of courseJ and they were officially Mr. & Mrs. Culp.   The bridesmaids red dresses with the red and yellow looked gorgeous against the golf course backdrop!  Their reception was decorated with alternating tall and short golf candelabras and vases with orange linens and a carmel apple as the favor.  Each of their parents did a little mini toast to Alyssa and Josh, which was so sweet to hear the love and happiness their parents have for them!  Then they danced until they couldn’t anymore! {Jessie and Todd @ Davis Island Garden Club}

This was an extra special one because we’ve known Jessie for a number of years now.  Not only does she work for Breezin and is a wedding friendor, but, she’s been a bridesmaid in quite of few of her friend’s weddings that we’ve photographed as well!  She’s even caught the bouquet at least once that we’ve seen:-)  Ashley and Candace were 2 of her bridesmaids, so it was so nice to see them again too!  I would say her wedding style was modern simplicity, with the colors being black and white with gold accents.  Jessie wore her grandmother’s engagement ring that has been passed down over the years.  In the box was a note that said who has also worn it and their wedding date, so they can add 11.21.15 to the post it.  They did a first look and bridal party photos beforehand so they could enjoy every minute of the party.  The most unique detail we loved was that they had an artist at the back of the ceremony, literally sketching it out on canvas as it unfolded!  They had the cutest flower girls and ring bears, the little ones rode down the aisle in style.  Jessie’s brother officiated, and they did a toast with the bridal party during the ceremony. Jessie and Todd met at a kickball game so they had a kickball there for all their guests to sign!  The reception was decorated with long family style tables with striped black and white runners, white lanterns, and gold chargers and sparkly table numbers.  The perfect finishing touch was the black and white checkered dance floor for everyone to dance on under the crystal chandeliers.  Lots and lots of dancing and fun moments for these 2! Congrats Jessie & Todd!!!  So happy for you and honored to be a party of! xoxox

{Siera and Eric @ A La Carte Event Pavilion}

Siera wore a beautiful strapless gown with silver sparkly Vans for her and Eric’s gold and navy Great Gatsby styled wedding.   Just before the ceremony, Eric and Siera had the sweetest moment holding hands around a door before walking down the aisle!  As their guests arrived they signed gold Christmas ornaments for Eric and Siera’s first Christmas tree this year, what a fun and unique ideaJ The grand foyer was decorated with gold mercury glass votives and tall glass cylinders filled with floating candles.  Siera walked down the aisle that was sprinkled with daisies to meet Eric under the white canopy.  Eric’s son was the ring bearer and they also included him in the sand ceremony, as they officially became a family of 3!  The reception was draped in white and navy and gold lines.  The centerpieces were white daisies and Siera’s favorite books.  There was a little sign on each table that said “As our gift to you, please take 1 book , As we create our love story, enjoy one already written”.  The finishing touch was their custom monogram on the white dance floor.  It was an epic party, their friends have some pretty awesome moves, and beardsJ  We snuck them out for a few minutes for nighttime photos before their sparkler exit!  Congrats Siera & Eric!! xoxoxo

Brianna & Martin

The day we did Brianna and Martin's session it rained the entire day except for literally the 1 hour we were shooting!  I love the dark purple and black colors against the green and mossy trees!  They are getting married in North Carolina 6.4.16 next year and I get to go with them:-)  A huge thank you to Karnes Stables for allowing us to use their beautiful property!!

{Lisa & John @ Van Dyke Church}

Lisa & John had a beautiful ceremony in the chapel at their home church, Van Dyke Church.  John even had a tear as the doors opened and his beautiful bride entered the room!  Pastor Matthew married them in a candle lit ceremony with their friends and family. Their colors were silver, aqua, and blue with just a hint of peacock feathers on the favors and guest book. Lisa changed into a cute lace dress for first dance and outdoor reception on the patio. We just love being a part of the joy and happiness!  Congrats Lisa and John!!

{Katie & Robert @ The Courtyard At Lake Lucerne}

Katie and Robert's wedding and reception was at the IW Phillips House in Orlando, among the beautiful lush greenery and wrap around porch.  Katie wore a gorgeous 2 piece gown with beaded heels and chandelier style earrings and the girls were in different shades of plum and purple.  One of her bridesmaids might even look familiar, Rachel one of our photographers was in the wedding!  Katie and Robert had the sweetest first look in the garden and then we had some fun with the bridal party and their sweet flower girl and ring bearer.  Katie's brother walked her down the aisle to the steps of the house where they said their vows to each other which included "Never watch a Star Wars movie in the theater without each other". As the were announced husband and wife and had their first kiss Katie held up her finger saying "hold on not done yet":-)  Robert is a huge star wars fan and Katie loves Harry Potter so they incorporated both of their loves in the little details. Guests signed a twisted tree with their thumbprints and put their cards in a Hedwig birdcage. Their cake topper was even a Star Wars bride and groom with their dogs on it! Each table was themed with the favorite movies with the favors at each place setting.  Mr & Mrs Sloan entered the reception in Darth Vader and Harry Potter style.  Katie surprised Robert with their first dance song being recorded and sung by her. The entire day was really just fun, laid back, and enjoying time with family and friends. Congrats Katie and Robert!!! xoxoxo
