Emily LOVES penguins, I mean who doesn’t right?:-) The only place I know of where you can have penguins as wedding guests is the Florida Aquarium! Once everyone was down front the penguins joined them by walking down the aisle! The lilac roses and magenta orchids looked amazing with the deep purple dresses the girls wore and the gray the guys wore. They danced up a storm at the reception and everyone literally had the best time ever! Congratulations Emily & Bryan!! xoxox
Donna and Drew, I love these 2! Donna knows what she wants and goes after it, but is so positive and fun to be around. Drew told me this day was all for Donna and I love that about him because it’s so obvious how in love he is with Donna. We started with Donna, her mom, and Maid of Honor getting ready at the Westin Tampa Harbourside. The living room area had a really cool painting and beautiful light that we had to hang the dress on. She had a little photo of her dad who was watching from above on her bouquet, as a little surprise for her mom. I thought that was so cool because even though he wasn’t there in person he was still there walking her down the aisle.
We did first look with them in the wetlands because it’s “almost” like you’re outside and a couple hours before sunset the light is really pretty in there. When Drew turned to look at Donna they had the best reaction!
Their priest officiated a beautiful ceremony in front of the huge tank. Donna did my favorite thing and had the penguins come in as the “late arriving guests”. Such a fun moment and surprise for their guests. Right at the end the bubble curtain came on for their first kiss and they even left it on for me for some of the photos after.
Lets talk about this cake. We got to see Jovanna, from Artistic Whisk set it up and it was stunning! She said the bottom layer is like a little tutu and the top had bride and groom sea horses. The room was lit with candles and submerged orchids with a little bit of sparkle on the tables. Such a fabulous evening for a fabulous couple. Congratulations Donna and Drew!!! xoxox
When Kristin first filled out our little get to know you questionnaire she put on there "not doing a bouquet toss, there will be penguins involved, and really excited about the big day" I knew I would love this girl! Curtis proposed to her at the Clearwater marine aquarium and so the Florida Aquarium was the perfect wedding location for them. Kristin's 2 sisters were her maids of honor and were in a light mauve dresses that looked amazing with the guys in gray and the white with navy accents. Curtis had a really unique wedding band that was black woven with red and all the guys had different shark socks on! Kristin's mom, Carolyn, gave her a really sweet handkerchief and sign for their home with the lyrics to My Wish. Right before we headed over to the Aquarium we had the Jolley Trolley park in the perfect spot to do their first look and it was perfect! I love when we get to do photos in the wetlands when the sun is still high, the light in there is just so pretty and their adorable little ring bearer and flower girl joined us too. Kristin's step dad, Jack, officiated their ceremony in the coral reef room with the turtles and sharks as the backdrop. They had a couple little surprise "late arriving guests" of the penguin kind. I always love seeing the guests reactions:-) Just before their kiss the bubble curtain took over and they were officially Mr. and Mrs. Campogni! Their reception was in the Mosaic Center which is the Aquarium's new space, it's a really clean modern, space with the ceiling being huge nautical looking turbines. It was draped in white with gray chivaris with white florals and thistles, Kristin's mom Carolyn really put so much work into planning and making their dream reception come true, it looked amazing! They had several really fun surprises that I was totally looking forward to during the reception. A surprise for Kristin and Curtis was cake toppers that were custom bobble heads of them along with their 2 dogs Carl and Watson. After Kristin danced with her dad and Curtis danced with his mom, Kristin started dancing with her step dad, Jack, and then they put on rock lobster sunglasses and pinchers and did the rock lobster dance. The dance floor was packed and just at the right moment, Jack came out in a full penguin costume! It was pretty freaking awesome, and entertaining! Cheers to #findingcampogni congrats Kristin and Curtis we could not be happier for you guys and so honored to be a part of it!! xoxoxo

We are so excited that Katelyn & Brandon's beautiful Florida Aquarium wedding is featured on Borrowed and Blue's wedding blog and it's Katelyn's birthday today!! Happy Birthday pretty lady!! Katelyn's gown is one of our favorites the lace detail and backing was just stunning. Click below to see the whole feature on their blog!
Katelyn's lace gown was pure gorgeousness! Her adorable flower girl had a little mini version of her gown lace sleeves and everything! Brandon gave Katelyn the most amazing gift that brought everyone in the room (including me and the makeup artists:-) to tears. He had a walled made out of ostrich skin boots that had belonged to Katelyn's father who had passed away 5 years ago. It was such a thoughtful and priceless gift. He also gave her a rose gold watch with their wedding date inscribed on it. The sharks and fish watched as Katelyn and Brandon said their vows and placed letters in an engraved box to open on their first anniversary. Their coral and grey wedding style with was so pretty with the blue backdrop. The guys even had fishing lures as a part of their boutonnieres. Brandon works for the sheriff's department and his cufflinks were actually mini handcuffs! During their first dance the flower girl and ring bearer did decided it was time for their first dance too. It was a day full of such beautiful moments! Congrats Katelyn & Brandon!!! xoxox

Brianna and Jaime got married at the Florida Aquarium in the morning before it opened. It's got this quiet and peaceful feel to it before and guests are there and it's just us and the sea life. These 2 are just some of the sweetest people and love each other so much. Their flower girl had the rings in a huge oyster shell as they got married in front of the sharks, turtle, and rays. Congrats Brianna and Jaime!!! xoxoxo

Alecia and Donald are one of the sweetest couples you will ever meet. Their entire wedding day emanated how much they love each other and it was truly amazing to capture their story. Some of my favorite moments were with Alecia and her mom while she was getting in her beautiful gown. Just the way she looked at Alecia with so much love and happiness, I think it gets me even more because I have 2 daughters:-) Once she was totally ready we opened the door so her bridesmaids could see her in her gorgeous gown. Donald sent a little gift over that was a surprise diamond tennis bracelet that was the perfect finishing touch. Their ceremony was in front of the coral reef at the Florida Aquarium. They had a couple surprises up their sleeve to make the ceremony extra amazing. Once the processional was over and Donald got to see his bride, Alecia's aunt gave her, her grandmother's handkerchief and they had a bell they practiced ringing for when things aren't easy. Just before they were announced as the official Mr. & Mrs. Cannon the tank filled with bubbles, which is a brand new thing at the Aquarium and such a dramatic backdrop. They flipped the reception into an aqua lit setting with white florals and linens with sand dollar place cards and silver chivaris. Alecia and Donald entered with a white boa and fun glasses and before we knew it they were being sent off with sparklers out front. Congrats you guys it was flawless and amazing!!! xoxox

From the minute we arrived at the Marriott Waterside, Jessica and Wes' wedding day was full of so much joy and excitement. Jessica's bridesmaids had secretly stolen one of her shoes (which were fabulous Badgely Mischkas by the way:-) for Wes to write a fun little note on the bottom. We had planned a first look with just the 2 of them under the canopy in the wetlands. Wes asked me how he should react and I say what I always do which is "just do your thing and soak in the moment":-) The minute they saw each was just the sweetest! The sea turtles and sharks made an appearance for their bridal party photos and ceremony in the coral reef room. Just before Jessica was going to walk down the aisle to meet Wes, the penguins were set to go but had to have a little bit of help from their trainer. We always get to do some photos with the couple and the penguins right after the ceremony and they are just so freaking cute I want to grab one and take it home with me! The reception was decorated with silver chivari chairs, ivory lanterns, and nautical accents. Entrance, dance, toasts, cake and before we knew it, they were exiting to sparklers! Congrats Jessica and Wes we so enjoyed spending the day with you guys!!! xoxoxo

John went to college with Kimberly's sister, Lynsey. John actually introduced Lynsey to his friend, who she ended up marrying. Lynsey told John she thought he would totally hit it off with her sister Kimberly and they did! On a double date in the puffin area at the zoo, John knew he and Kimberly were meant to be, so that's why they chose the Aquarium to get married. Kimberly’s wedding gown is one she saw when trying on bridesmaid dress for her sister’s wedding. Thinking it would not be there when she got married, but much to her surprise it was! It was the first dress she tried on and was THE ONE. There was a sweet little note in the pocket of the wedding gown garment bag John had left for Kimberly. Their ceremony was in the Coral Reef room with the sharks and fish as their backdrop. The ring bearer was Kimberly’s nephew, he was so cute handing off the rings. Just before their official first kiss as Mr. & Mrs. the penguins waddled down the aisle. The ceremony was flipped into the reception room, with silver, aqua, white and a hint of red. At the sweetheart table there was a crocheted castle that was in a glass box. Kim's Grandmother made this and it was the cake topper for Kim's mom’s, aunt's, and sister's wedding cakes. Kim never got to meet her Grandmother because she had passed before Kim was born so it was a little piece of her and I’m sure she was watching from above and celebrating with them in spirit. After dinner we took Kim and John in a little hidden staircase for some nighttime shots since it was raining outside. The big round picture window made an awesome reflection and gave them a few minutes of just the 2 of them. Everyone had such an amazing time, and we loved capturing all these special moments. Congrats Kim & John!! xoxoxo

Jessica and Steven traveled all the way from Maine to get married at the Florida Aquarium! Usually, the ceremony starts a few hours after it closes, but this one actually started in the morning before it opened. There was really something peaceful and serene about it in the morning. I love Jessica and the girls' bouquets, they were made of white and aqua fabric with little coastal accents. They had 2 little special guests (the penguins of course:-) dressed in tuxes that were actually very photogenic and well behaved. Their adorable son, Blake, is their whole world and he was so sweet and even got to pet the Penguins. After the ceremony, their guests had a little breakfast, champagne, cake and then we did photos all around the Aquarium with Jess and Steve! The stingrays are my favorite it always looks like they are smiling. Congrats Jessica & Steven!!! xoxoxo

Andrew asked Billie to marry him in one of the caves of the Aquarium on New Years Eve, so it was of course the perfect and most meaningful location for their wedding! Billie's aunt does all the draping of the coral reef room at the aquarium, and she did an absolutely beautiful job for their special day. There were crystal beaded tie-backs and purple up-lighting to set the tone for the ceremony. Billie entered the room with her dad and they said their I do's in front of the panoramic aquarium with sharks and sea turtles as the backdrop. While their guests sipped on cocktails and enjoyed the exhibits, the main lobby underwent a beautiful transformation. It was draped in white and the tables were decorated with beautiful pink and plum colored flowers. License plates from different states sat on top of stacks of old books and served as the table names! Each guest had to use their placard and find their "state". The cake was the perfect accent to the purple and silver color palette. Billie wore heels for the ceremony and converse for dancing! Such a fun and special day for this sweet couple! Congrats Billie and Andrew! xoxoxoxo

Deirdre and Angelo have a love for all things deep sea, which led them to the Florida Aquarium for their gorgeous wedding! The bridesmaids wore coral colored knee length dresses that were the perfect pop of color for the under the sea themed decor. Angelo wore gold shark cuff links and a matching tie clip. He had a little gold twisted metal pin with the initials of one of his friends that passed away that he pinned in his boutonniere. The boutonnieres were so unique, they were coral colored flowers inside a seashell. Both of his parents got teary-eyed when they opened the gifts from Angelo. He gave his dad a hammer with an inscription as well as a frame for his mom with a photo of her and him when he was only 1. A little sign sat in a chair in the front row of the ceremony saying "we know you'd be here today if heaven weren't so far away", this was in honor of Deirdre's baby girl who passed away. She also had a locket with her photo in in that was attached to her bouquet. The reception was decked out to look like a gorgeous under sea extravaganza. Coral and Aqua flowers, each with a shimmering starfish looked gorgeous along with the candle lit lanterns on each table. The guests found their seats by looking at the starfish on each chair that served as their place cards. The head table had a mermaid style Aqua overlay in the center! It was very whimsical and pretty. A little sign of two fish kissing draped from the front of the table, which said "Mr. and Mrs." Even the cake was adorned with shimmering seashells. At the entrance of the aquarium they had their guest book, which were sand dollars that everyone signed and put inside a crystal fish. There were Cozies monogrammed with "Two less fish in the sea"! Such a fun and beautiful night for this happy couple! Congrats Deirdre and Angelo! xoxoxoxo

Cailin and her girls got ready at the beautiful Hilton in downtown Tampa, while Jeremy and his guys got to take photos in Tampa Bay Lightning locker room and arena! Cailin wore a beautiful, strapless, gown with beaded accents that looked fabulous with her sparkly heels. After jumping on the bed and toasting with her bridesmaids, the girls made their way over to the Florida Aquarium. The ceremony was held in front of the panoramic tank. The ceremony itself was lovely, and the couple’s vows were beautiful. Jeremy did the traditional Jewish "breaking of the glass" and the penguins joined them at the end of the aisle. Guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres while enjoying the exhibits and stingrays in the touch tank! The bridal party made their grand entrance down the stairs into the main lobby for the reception. It was decorated with silver, aqua, and draped in white. The cake had 2 little crabs on top for the topper, and set the mood for their "under the sea" themed wedding and reception. Friends and family both gave speeches and toasted the beautiful couple. Congrats Cailin and Jeremy! xoxoxo

Although it was pouring rain on Heather and Adam's wedding day, they didn't let that put a damper on anything! The groomsmen had so much fun while getting ready, they all wore fluorescent socks and Adam surprised each of them with a monogramed flask. The girls wore knee length flowy coral dresses that matched the guys coral ties. Heather and Adam had their wedding ceremony in front of the panoramic shark tank. Adam's uncle officiated their ceremony, and Adam had some "eye sweat" going on during his vows, it was so sweet! The reception was also in front of the shark tank and it was decorated with silver chivari chairs, coral chair ties, and tall white florals. Their first dance was to Brad Paisely's "She's Everything". One of the lines in the song mentions being the "wooden rocking chair rocking right beside me." At that moment, the groomsmen brought out Adam's gift to Heather which was two wooden rocking chairs with bows on them! The couple, along with their friends and family danced the night away and then were sent off with sparklers to their limo! Such a beautiful day! Congrats Heather and Adam! xoxoxo
