If you know Heather, you know she loves Lilly Pulitzer! How cute are the matching shorts she found for Crafton and Tag? Their littlest guy Banks is 6 months old already and has the coolest little faux-hawk and those big blue eyes like his brother. We did this session in their back yard and with some of the cool decor they have. Parenting is legit, and sometimes sessions don’t go exactly as planned, but it’s so worth capturing that moment in time. That’s what I love most about photographing our families! So many cute little cheeks in this one!
It was a super windy but beautiful day downtown St. Petersburg for Hannah and Eric's engagement session. These 2 are just so natural and fun together and add in their 4 legged family members Caddie and Maison, LOVE!!!! There's so many unique little places with awesome architecture by the Dali museum and waterfront. There were storm clouds in the distance and the sun was hitting the palm trees perfectly. 4.21.18 their wedding will be just down the street from here at Our Savior Lutheran and the Vinoy, it's going to be amazing!!
Black, gold & ivory (with a touch of sparkle) was the color palette for Nichole & Michael's wedding day. They have 3 girls and a boy who were all a big part of the wedding. While Nichole was getting ready one of the girls snuck a little peek at how gorgeous she looked! Chloe, their youngest, is just about to start walking and had the cutest little gold shoes that matched Nichole's sparkly gold ones. Mike loves hunting, and Nichole's gift to him was a custom bowtie made of pheasant feathers. We did a first look in front of the big windows over looking the water and their family and bridal party watched from above. Their ceremony was on the back terrace lined with palm trees. Nichole walked down the grand staircase with her dad and her stepdad officiated the ceremony. Their reception was decorated with black and gold and tall white rose florals and glittery gold table numbers. Their guests each had a monogrammed napkin and a little surprise lottery ticket by their place setting. Hopefully someone won big:-) Nichole had the sweetest dance with her dad and Mike tried to dance with his 3 girls but Zoe was the only one who wanted to! Bay Kings Band made it such a fun party! Congrats Nichole and Mike!!! xoxoxo

The minute I walked into the bridal suite I could feel the laid back and fun vibe Jackie and her girls were having. The girls photobombed the champaign glasses and it was just plain hilarious:-) Jackie's mom helped her get into her lace gown which was absolutely gorgeous, and she looked stunning with the the perfect finishing touches being her cute heels with bows on the back and a long flowy veil. Jackie and her dad had some of the sweetest moments as he saw her totally ready before getting in the limo! The guys got ready at Jackie and Mel's house, mainly in Mel's garage, clearly because it's awesome:-) Mel gave the guys watches as gifts and he opened monogrammed cufflinks from Jackie. Jackie walked down the long corridor outside of the Mahaffey Theater for first look with Mel and we did all their family and bridal party photos on the beautiful grounds there. Their ceremony was in front of huge windows with accents of purple and sheer white with the waterfront as their backdrop. Jackie and Mel are both in the event industry, and met at the The Club at Treasure Island so it was perfectly fitting their reception was there. The reception was decorated with black linens and white draping with twinkle lights. Their cake was a lavender hombre with scalloped frosting that was so pretty! We snuck them out by the sailboats for some nighttime photos just before their grand entrance and their fabulous party!! Congrats Jackie & Mel!!! xoxoxo

It will be 3 years ago in April that I had the honor of photographing my cousin Catherine's wedding. Yesterday was the memorial service to honor and celebrate the life of her dad. Catherine said it best, "He battled ALS for over 2 years with courage, dignity and strength. He told me that even though he new the disease would ultimately shorten his life, he would not allow it to take away his spirit. And he was right." Uncle Brent is on my husband's side of the family so I got to know him a little better while Catherine was planning her wedding. While I was talking to him about the photography part of the wedding, I could hear in his voice the love he had for his daughter, and how proud he was of the person she had become. When it was finally April 6th, 2013 I got to capture these beautiful moments of Brent and Catherine, and this is how I remember Uncle Brent. He had the biggest smile on his face as he stepped out the door to walk Catherine down the aisle to meet John. My absolute favorite moment of the day was during their father daughter dance. At the very end, in perfect fashion, Brent handed her off to finish the dance with John. There was something extra special about it, powerful, and adoring. A moment I know I will always remember. That's the power of a photograph. They become more valuable each day that goes by, and with every family member or friend that is not here on this earth with us anymore. That's the responsibility we have as wedding photographers, and while it's not creating world peace, it is preserving moments and people that are gone with the blink of an eye. It's the "why" behind my love for photographing weddings and people.

What do 2 year olds do best? Play of course! Maddox's brought his favorite red truck over, I got out lots of my kids toys and let him just have fun:-) He's definitely going to be a heart breaker with that blonde hair and baby blue eyes! The last image of him and his red truck is my favorite!
This is definitely cuteness overload:-) I can't get enough of the sweet and funny expressions Emma has! I absolutely love these 3 and the love their beautiful family has!!
Brittany and Rick are high school sweethearts, who have been together for 8 years. They had a beautiful "under the sea" themed elegant wedding at the Florida Aquarium! Brittany had handmade necklaces made for each of her girls and octopus hair clips. She wore earrings from her grandmother and a starfish necklace Rick had given her. The blue heart sewn on her dress was made from a shirt that her grandfather used to wear. It was extra, extra special because he was supposed to walk her down the aisle, but had recently passed away. The reception was decorated with black linens, pops of purple and orange florals and I LOVE the center pieces. They were glowing with jelly fish in them. The cake had the cutest bride and groom sharks. Every Saturday night Tampa was fireworks over the river and that made for the perfect ending to their evening!! Congrats Brittany and Rick! xoxoxo
We almost had rain for Ashley and Mike's session on Anna Maria, but it turned out to be so beautiful. There was even a rainbow over the water!! They are going to have an elegant and rustic wedding at Powel Crosley in November and we can't wait!!!!! xoxoxo
Ok, so this session is suppose to be all about Katie and Eric but I think Cappy (aka Captain America:-) and Moe stole the show. They had little mini tuxes to go with Katie's super cute b/w dress and Eric's purple shirt. The first picture I can't help but giggle every time I look at it. Such photogenic puppies! I even had the Vinoy custom landscape the front with purple flowers for them! Just kidding, but they literally matched perfectly:-) Katie and Eric and so much fun and the sweetest!!! I am so looking forward to their elegant Halloween wedding 10.31.14!! xoxox
This year is Nicole & Jackie's 20th wedding anniversary and they are celebrating with a vow renewal and fun party for their friends and family to celebrate with them! These 2 are so much fun and it's so awesome to see them celebrate 20 years of marriage!!! We are looking forward to their vow renewal next month!!!
When Ralph proposed to Maureen, he surprised her by doing it at the barn in the middle of the arena where her horse Violet stays. So, it was the perfect place for their engagement session! Ralph's favorite sport is paintball and Maureen's is horseback riding so we did a little combo of both! There even happened to be a tree with blue paint on it:-) Their wedding is going to be elegant equestrian themed at the Lange Farm and I can not wait!!! xoxoxo
Tiffany and Phil's wedding on 6.28.14 ended our very busy June and I have to say every single aspect of their wedding is why I absolutely LOVE photographing weddings. Tiffany and Phil met in middle school, riding the same bus together. They became friends and in high school Tiffany was a cheerleader and Phil was a basketball player. In 11th grad Phil asked her out and they have been inseparable ever since. Tiffany had several letters to read, the first was from her dad, paired with a bottle of Crystal in a beautiful box. Next was a sweet letter written by her brother Roger, and then Phil wrote her 2 letters. The second letter was a really funny one like they would write and pass in school:-) The girls wore blush gathered gowns with pink and gold jewelry and the boys wore gray suits with blush ties. I absolutely love the elegant style of everything from the florals to the cake, it was stunning! Their ceremony was inside draped in white and florals lining the aisle. Philip's grandfather officiated the ceremony and pronounced them man and wife! We had SO much fun with the bridal party, and in fact Cody who was one of the groomsmen, is Tiffany's cousin. We'll be photographing he and his fiancee, Gianna's wedding in November:-) The reception was draped and decorated with high and low center pieces with golden lines and lace overlays. Each place setting had a little jar of honey that said "Meant to Bee". The cake done was the most intricate and beautiful one I think I've ever seen. The hand made lace intricacy was amazing. I have to tell you a funny story during the cake cutting because Sylense may have been the only one who saw it. There was a round smaller cake next to Tiffany and Phil's cake. While they were getting ready to cut their cake, Lexi the adorable flower girl stealthly ran up to the table and licked from bottom to the the edge of the smaller cake. We could not stop laughing about it and she's a very smart little girl:-) There was amazing toasts, delicious food, and the most fun dance party ending with Tiffany singing to the crowd. And off they were. Congrats Tiffany and Phil!!!!! xoxoxo
Burlap, lace & aqua were the accents for Alena and Scott's elegant, vintage Lange Farm Wedding. The ceremony decor had wooden barrels and a chandelier decorated with florals, that is actually going in their home. Not the florals, the chandelier:-) Thankfully the rain held off so we could have their ceremony and pictures outside! The reception decor was so pretty! I love the table runners, they were made of burlap with a lace overlay. Each table was decorated with a tall gold center piece, with white and blush florals, aqua linens, a vintage frame, and a little burlap favor. Alena's new last name is Nicely, which is so fitting for these 2! It was an amazing day and we loved capturing every minute! Congrats Scott & Alena!! xoxox

Jennifer and AJ had a nautical themed mint and coral outdoor wedding. Jennifer's sister, Amy, was her maid of honor and AJ's brother, James, was his best man. James grew his hair out for 9 months to get back at AJ for having his long surfer hair at his wedding! The garden ceremony was draped with coral and white florals and had sayings from 1 Corinthians 13 lining the aisle. During the ceremony, they had both sets of parents, AJ's sister-in-law, and niece come to the alter for a family circle prayer. Jennifer and AJ also tied a boating rope in a knot simultaneously during the ceremony. Jennifer and AJ love boating and fishing when we went to the dock to do bridal portraits on our way back AJ asked if we might do a few pictures on a boat docked there. We asked the couple that owned to boat and they were very excited to oblige. The couple said that their 48th anniversary was the next day on Saturday and that it was the boat's maiden voyage:-) The reception was beautiful decorated with gray chivari chairs, tall white and coral florals and the table numbers were set in rope. The cake detail even matched the detail in Jennifer's dress! It was an amazing and beautiful day had by all! Congrats Jennifer and AJ!!! xoxoxo

Lindsay and Tim saw but didn't see each other before the wedding:-) The girls were in Lilac and eggplant dresses and the boys in dark gray with blue shirts. Lyndsay wore a beautiful lace gown with a sash and rhinestone encrusted teal heels with I Do on the bottom. Tim's gift to Lyndsay was a beautiful bracelet and her gift to him was a journal she hand wrote in and some of his favorite things including a t-rex mug and a shot. They said their I do's on the waterfront and instead of sand did a butterfly release together. The reception decor was deep jewel toned blue and purple with the most amazing sparkly cake! We had a beautiful evening for those pretty dusk and night time photos as well. Lyndsay hand made the card box, mason jars with candy for the favors and purple and blue bubbles for their exit! Congrats Lyndsay and Tim!!!! xoxoxo

Robin and Armin had a very beautiful outdoor wedding at the Davis Island Garden Club! Robin and her bridesmaids started off their day at the Westin Harbour Island, which is just across the river. We could actually see the venue space from Robin's room! Robin gave all of her girls a little necklace with the first letter of on it as a small thank you for being a part of her big day! Then we went outside and took some shots with the city in the background and were quickly on our way to get Robin hitched! Armen wore his father's wedding band and watch. He gave each of his groomsmen a grill see it a beautiful case. The ceremony was filled with many tears and smiles as Robin and Armen said their vows. After that it was time for some wedding party photos and then PARTYYY! Their outdoor reception had a very rustic/vineyard style with lots of gorgeous florals. Robin had custom pillows made, their seating chart hung in a picture frame from a tree, she had a smokes bar, scotch bar, and a sweets table including s'mores! The food was absolutely delicious and the menus were printed on little bags with bread in them to go with the salad. The band C'nergy kept the night very fun and entertaining! Congrats Robin and Armen!!! xoxoxo

Nick and Kerri had the most perfect beach wedding! The ceremony was on the white sand beach at the Hilton Clearwater and they had an outdoor reception on the Sandpiper Deck. Nick and his guys got in "super wedding mode" by putting on their AWESOME super hero socks! Some had capes and some had wings! They not only had cool socks but gray 2 toned shoes as well. Kerri wore a gorgeous lace dress and the girls had short champagne colored lace dresses that matched perfectly. She even sported some Wonder Woman socks with the guys:-) Nick was brought to tears at the sight of his gorgeous bride during their first look. The ceremony was under an arch of gorgeous flowers. They had a really cool variation of a time capsule. There was a bottle of Silver Oak wine encased in a pretty white box. Both Nick and Kerri wrote letters to each other, sealed them, and stuck them in the box during the ceremony. It was said that if in the event they have an argument, go get the box, open the wine and take a minute to read the letters they wrote to each other on their wedding day. On their 10 year anniversary, if they have not opened the box, they are to do so and celebrate!! The reception decor was beautiful beach wood trees with flowers and starfish/sand dollar decorated place cards. Each place setting had a special treat. Inside was a message in a bottle thanking everyone for coming and a yummy cake pop! "Baba", Nick's grandma made the bread for the special Bulgarian Bread Dance that they did at the reception. Nick's brother gave a toast and said Kerri was a keeper because she could hold her own in the family board game night:-) It was Morgan (aka Boogin), one of Kerri's bridesmaids 30th birthday and they had really special Monopoly cake for her! The rest of the night was ridiculous amounts of dancing and fun had by all!! Congrats Kerri and Nick!!! xoxoxo

Shanel and Dwayne united not just themselves, but their two beautiful daughters with their wedding! The girls had pretty flower girl dresses and even mini veils to wear. Dwyane is very funny and sweet, there was a lot of laughter throughout the day and some funny moments and emotional ones as well. Shanel had the traditional something old; her grandmother's ring, something borrowed; her bridesmaids' earrings, something blue; her garter, and her something new was her dress! All of their friends and family were so excited to celebrate this momentus day! Everything was accented in turquoise! Flowers, linens, the boys tuxes, and their ice sculpture where blue martinis were served from! The cake sat on top of a glass table with blue and creme flowers underneath. Everyone danced, ate, drank, and had an amazing time!! Congrats Shanel and Dwayne!!!! xoxoxo
