I first met Melissa & Daniel while doing a styled shoot we did with Marry Me Tampa Bay where they were the bride and groom models. When they came in for a consultation and booked their wedding with us I was legit ecstatic! We chose Armature Works since it’s so Tampa and has such cool spots inside and outside. Their bright yellow and tropical colors looked amazing with the brick and river front outside. Then their 2nd look with Melissa’s burgundy jumpsuit (with pockets:-) and Daniel’s dress casual outfit was perfect for some of the super cool spots inside. These two are sweet, fun, and beautiful couple and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding April 25th, 2020!
Oh man, where do I even begin with these 2? Caitlin and Kyle are one of the sweetest couples and the love their family and friends have for them runs so deep. It takes me forever to decide what to say to really do it justice! When I initially talked to them, I found out Kyle is a Purdue grad like me and Caitlin went to FSU (my husband is a die hard fan even though he didn’t go there:-) we had an instant connection and it was such an honor to be there and share in all these amazing moments they shared on their wedding day. Every detail they had was carefully thought out and planned to make it so personal. Caitlin’s something old was a piece of her mom’s wedding dress wrapped around her bouquet. Her something borrowed was my favorite detail because it was so special. Kyle’s grandfather has passed away a few weeks before the wedding and she included a piece of the ferns from his funeral in her bouquet so he was right there with them. That morning, Caitlin surprised her dad with a little scavenger hunt that ended in finding her something blue which was a Coldplay cover pin that she also had on her bouquet. All her besties and her mom were right there by her side to make sure everything was perfect. I LOVE her gown the detail was stunning and so unique.
We brought in Caitlin’s dad and her brother, Brad to see her completely ready. Her dad said he absolutely loved her dress and she looked more beautiful that he could have ever imagined. After the girls were all ready, Caitlin’s bridesmaids gathered around her and prayed boldly for her and Kyle’s wedding day and far beyond that into the blessing of their marriage and future together. In order to stop everyone from crying they broke out into a song (Lord I Lift Your Name On High) that was a throwback to their youth group days.
The florals with succulents, roses, lily's, and greenery looked so pretty against the girls’ fog gray dresses and the guys navy suits. The guys all wore socks from their alma maters (notice all the Boilermaker socks in there). Kyle had the sweetest notes and gifts for his parents.
Funny story. A few weeks before the wedding I was reviewing the detail they filled out on our wedding planning questionnaire and I noticed that their officiant was one of the pastors from Harborside, but also Pastor Matthew Hartsfield who happens to be the pastor of the church we go to (and my husband David works at:-). Not going to lie, Harborside is my favorite church to photograph weddings at in the Tampa Bay area. It was designed specifically for weddings and as you will see is so beautiful. Kyle had the sweetest look on his face (and a little tear) as he saw his bride walk down the aisle. Their first date together was glass blowing, so for the unity ceremony they poured blue and gray glass pieces together. They exited the chapel and Mr. & Mrs. Myerholtz with all their guests blowing bubbles and Kyle surprised Caitlin with a Mazarati for the getaway car. We used all the pretty spots at Harborside and then headed to Armature Works on the Jolley Trolley for some more and a gorgeous sunset on the dock there.
The Gathering space at Armature Works was decorated with silver chivaris, navy linens, greenery, and farm tables for the head table. They love to play corn hole so their sign in was a custom corn hole set with their monogram on it. They had a Purdue themed mini doughnut table, some of them even with black and gold so we had to put their rings on some. The bridal party made an epic entrance tunnel style before all the reception festivities began. Dances, toasts, cake, and you’ll see a pretty fabulous battle for the bouquet and garter. Before we knew it, it was time for their exit through LED lit balloons. Ashley, and her team at Love Lee Lane did an amazing job making sure every detail was coordinated perfectly. So much love and happiness for you Caitlin and Kyle as you start his new chapter of life together! Thank you for the honor of being there and capturing your best day ever!

Brittany and Carl’s wedding day was full of so much love, beautiful moments, and AMAZINGLY gorgeous details. The girls got ready at Le Meridien in their cute PJs and Brittany had these fluffy white bridal slippers that were to die for! Her Galahi Lahav gown, her sister (MOH), and her mom’s dress could not have looked better together. She wore her mom’s diamond necklace and had her grandmother’s bible for her something borrowed and something old. One of my favorite details was her invitation by Doyle Paper Company. They gave her her full stationery suite mounted in a floating frame. We always love photographing the stationery and it’s not always easy to lay it all out pretty during getting ready but this was so genius and then the couple has it to hang on their wall. Once Brittany was all ready we had her dad come in to see her and extra special cards for her parents to read.
Carl wore these fantastic Star Wars cufflings and had a custom made suit from Suit Supply that even had their wedding date sewn in. After they were ready it was off to University of Tampa for some groomsmen shenanigans before the ceremony!
One by one all the girls walked down the aisle ending with the 2 little flower girls who made sure they were throwing petals just as they practiced. Everyone waited in anticipation for the doors to open and Brittany to walk down the aisle arm in arm with her dad. I always love when churches have balcony’s so then one of us can be upstairs and one of us downstairs. After they were officially Mr. & Mrs. Petrilli, we went back to use the iconic steps of Le Meridien for the family and bridal party photos, and then headed over to Armature Works. The read their vows to each other on the dock right on the water and we literally could have shot there with them for an hour lol!
The Gathering space at Armature Works was so gorgeous! Rounds and long tables with gold, greenery and florals on high geometrics. The napkins had a “P” embroidered on each one, and the menu was clear with greenery underneath. Brittany’s grandmother had just celebrated her 80th birthday and they surprised her by singing happy birthday and a special dance with her husband. I’m just going to let you look at the reception it really doesn’t need many words! The New Royals Band definitely rocked out this party, and there was a flaming doughnut station (just sayin). It was SO MUCH FUN and clearly Brittany and Carl are loved by all. Thank you guys for having us it was such an honor to be there!! xoxox

There is a very cool new space that is part of Armature Works, located on the rooftop of the building adjacent to it. I love doing styled shoots in brand new spots with concepts so people can envision their own wedding or event there. It's so hard to see an empty space and imagine what it will look like all decked out. This team below showed off what this space can do with 2 different looks and sizes of wedding. Both were different, but in a similar style with greenery, metallics, gold, silver, and gray. The first is the rooftop set for 150 guests with silver chivari's and I love the hanging globes with greenery wall and tall crystally florals. Inside was set for dinner with that metallic theme, marble cake, and those linens are just awesome! The 2nd setup was a ceremony for 50 people with black chairs outside. The inside was set as a cocktail reception with a fabulous spread of deliciousness by Puff N Stuff in the center. The details were all different, short centerpieces with huge crystals, totally different swirly linens and a combo of hightop and low square tables. The custom wood and metal bar added the finishing touch to this space. If you're looking for an amazing view and really unique brand new space for your wedding or event definitely check it out and this group of talented professionals that made it happen!
