Mariana & David

I love how Mariana tells the story of how she and David met so I'll let you read it straight from her:-)  Their wedding is going to be a romantic, whimsical, garden style so a botanic garden for the engagement session goes along perfectly!

"My mother always said to me, "Mariana, you're never going to meet your future husband hanging out at a bar. If you want to meet quality people, you have to go where quality people gather." She meant church, or volunteering, or something like that. But luckily for me, quality people need a place to wind down too!

Our paths had crossed before, and I had even had a few conversations with his roommate AJ, but that night we finally got to know each other better over a game of pool, during which we kicked our opponents' butts! At the end of the evening he asked if he could take me out to dinner some time. I thought that was sooo sweet, and way more original than, "So can I get your number?" So, I volunteered my number, but I was so flustered I accidentally mixed up the digits between my cell and office phone numbers without even realizing it!

After agonizing for what felt like eternity, I got an email from him at work! It starts out saying something like, "I hope this doesn't seem creepy, but I got your work email from AJ. I thought I got you number from you, but I must have written it down wrong..." I couldn't believe it! Most guys would have assumed I gave them the wrong number on purpose, but that never crossed his mind. He was so sure it must have been a mistake!

For our first date, he took me to see a baseball game with a group of kids that he volunteered with. How's that for quality people?
