It’s been a minute since we’ve photographed a wedding or event at the Dalí Museum, and we were so excited to be back for Explore the Dalí, hosted by Udream Events. This event brought together such a talented team and showcased just how stunning this unique and modern museum truly is.

We had the perfect couple, Paige + Jacob, modeling in Thalia Paul’s gowns with glam by Bridal Beauty by Tara and content creation by Behind the Vows. Our goal was to highlight all the iconic spots—from the striking glass structure outside and inside, to the dramatic cement spiral staircase, and even a few of the exhibits that made for the most incredible backdrops.

The Dalí’s outdoor garden is just as iconic as what’s inside—complete with the famous melting clock sculpture that feels like stepping right into one of Dalí’s paintings, and the playful mustache bench that always makes everyone smile. And of course, the dramatic glass “Enigma” structure wrapping the outside of the building makes for the most jaw-dropping backdrop, especially as the light shifts throughout the evening.

The glass “Enigma” both inside and outside the museum is absolutely breathtaking. Made entirely of triangular panels, it creates this prism-like effect where light pours in during the day and reflects beautifully at night. The geometric design is so unique and instantly recognizable, making it one of the most iconic spots to photograph at the Dalí.

One of the most striking architectural features inside the Dalí is the massive cement spiral staircase. It winds upward in this perfectly modern, sculptural way that feels like a piece of art in itself. Shooting there gave us such dramatic lines and angles, and it was the perfect place to showcase the couple with a bold, architectural backdrop.

Inside the museum, we had the incredible opportunity to use both some of Dalí’s most iconic works as well as pieces from the current exhibit as backdrops. To respect and protect the art, we used a round videolight to softly illuminate the couple instead of a flash or high-powered lights that could damage the artwork over time. This approach gave us beautiful, even lighting that highlighted Paige + Jacob while keeping the integrity of the galleries intact. The result was a surreal blend of timeless masterpieces and modern love—an atmosphere unlike anything else.

The evening was filled with great food, cocktails, familiar faces, and new ones too. We’re heading into our 18th year of doing what we love, and I’m truly grateful every single day. Huge shoutout to our “OGs” (original gangstas 😊) who came out to celebrate—it wouldn’t have been the same without you! We can not wait to capture more weddings and events at one of our favorite St. Pete venues in Tampa Bay!!!
