There is something truly magical about a Tampa maternity session at golden hour, and Logan and Kevin's session at Cypress Point Park was exactly that. From the lush mangrove boardwalks to the soft sandy shores of Tampa Bay, every frame from this session felt like a dream.
And then there was their adorable goldendoodle, who stole the show with a pair of tiny Florida Gator shoes. We are not sorry. 🐊🐾

When clients ask me where to do their maternity session in Tampa, Cypress Point Park is always at the top of my list. This not so hidden gem on the shores of Old Tampa Bay offers so many gorgeous backdrops all within walking distance of each other — the iconic wooden boardwalk through the mangroves, sandy dunes with sea grass, driftwood along the shoreline, and open waterfront views that glow at sunset.
Logan and Kevin took full advantage of every single one of them, and the results speak for themselves.
The Session
Logan came prepared with two beautiful outfits — a soft sky blue dress that felt effortlessly romantic against the lush green mangroves, and a vibrant cobalt blue dress that popped beautifully in the warm golden hour light. Both looks were absolutely perfect for the location and the season.
Kevin was the definition of a proud dad-to-be, and the love and excitement between these two was so genuine and easy to capture. I have had the honor of working with them since their engagement session and Kevin noticed that in the distance you can actually see their wedding venue, the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay so we even got where it all began in there!

That magical window about an hour before sunset when the light is soft, warm, and absolutely flattering. At Cypress Point Park, the sun sets over the water, which means you get that beautiful backlit glow filtering through the trees on the boardwalk and reflecting off the bay. It is truly one of the best spots in the Tampa Bay area for maternity photography. And can we talk about that detail shot? Their goldendoodle, Lucy, posed perfectly next to a pair of tiny Florida Gator baby shoes like an absolute professional. Future Gator fan, officially confirmed. 🐊
