Angela and Enrique’s wedding day was not only a celebration of their love — it was a celebration of family, history, and 11 beautiful years together. They tied the knot at the stunning NOVA 535 in downtown St. Petersburg, surrounded by their three daughters, their closest family and friends, and the most vibrant jewel-toned florals by Two Birds Events.

Angela spent the morning getting ready at the Renaissance Tampa International Plaza Hotel, surrounded by the most important women in her life. Her sister, Teresa, her mom, and her three daughters helped her get dressed and put the final touches on her look, creating such a sweet and emotional start to the day. It was such a beautiful full-circle moment watching them all together. After she was ready, Angela had a special first look with her bridesmaids, who were seeing her for the first time as a bride — a moment filled with so much excitement, happy tears, and big hugs before heading to NOVA 535 for the ceremony.

Enrique got ready on-site at NOVA 535, which made everything super convenient and stress-free. Tucked away in the heart of downtown St. Pete, NOVA feels surprisingly private — the perfect place to relax and enjoy the moments leading up to the ceremony. His brother, who was also his best man, helped him with the finishing touches, surrounded by his groomsmen. There was a great mix of laughter, nerves, and anticipation as they suited up in the venue’s stylish prep space, setting the tone for the meaningful celebration to come.

NOVA 535 is truly one of the best St. Petersburg wedding venues, and it fit Angela and Enrique’s vibe perfectly. Even though it's right in the heart of downtown St. Pete, NOVA feels so private and intimate, almost like stepping into your own hidden garden. Their bamboo courtyard is absolutely magical for outdoor ceremonies — lush, romantic, and completely tucked away from the busy city around it.

Their story made this day incredibly special: Angela and Enrique weren’t just becoming husband and wife — they were officially joining their family of five together. During the ceremony, Enrique surprised each of their daughters with a custom ring, symbolizing their bond as a new family unit. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house!

Speaking of history, this day also brought everything full circle. I first met Angela back in 2012 when I photographed her sister Teresa’s wedding — Angela was Teresa’s maid of honor then, and now, Teresa got to return the favor by standing by Angela’s side as her maid of honor. I love getting to walk alongside families over the years, and this day felt so full-circle and meaningful!

The inside of NOVA 535 brings out that urban-chic St. Pete vibe with gorgeous exposed brick, dramatic lighting, and industrial ceilings. It creates a warm, vibrant atmosphere that worked so beautifully with the rich jewel tones Angela and Enrique chose for their wedding design. The staff at NOVA is incredible too — always attentive and ready to make sure every detail flows perfectly.

Being able to have everything — the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception — all in one location made the day easy and seamless, allowing Angela and Enrique and their guests to just relax and enjoy every moment.

After their emotional ceremony in the bamboo garden, guests transitioned inside for a night full of laughter, love, and amazing music, thanks to DJ Coro, who kept the energy high all night long. (He always knows how to throw the best party!) Between heartfelt toasts, a packed dance floor, and endless smiles, it was clear just how loved Angela, Enrique, and their daughters are by everyone around them.

Angela and Enrique’s wedding day was a reminder of why I love what I do: capturing not just the big moments, but the small, meaningful ones that tell the story of family, legacy, and love.
