Aaron & Grace's Sand Key Beach Surprise Proposal | Clearwater, FL
Aaron and Grace call Atlanta home, but on June 26, 2026, Sand Key Beach became the setting for the start of their forever. Aaron had been planning this moment for months, and he wanted every detail to be perfect: the flowers, the light, the location, and — unbeknownst to Grace — the people.
The couple spent the evening walking the shoreline as the Florida sky moved through every shade of gold, and Grace had no idea what was waiting for her near the water's edge. Aaron's mom hand-made the ivory rose and greenery arrangement that anchored the whole scene in the sand, soft white blooms and trailing greenery framed against the surf.
Aaron had also had a custom wooden ring box engraved just for this moment — "G & A" and the date, June 26, 2026, burned into the walnut lid. When he opened it on one knee, the pear-shaped diamond caught the last of the evening light, and Grace's reaction said it all: hands clasped, laughing through happy tears, completely surprised.
But Aaron wasn't done. As the newly engaged couple walked back down the beach for sunset portraits, they turned to find not one but two surprises waiting: Aaron's parents and brother, and Grace's parents and sister, all having flown in secretly to share the moment in person. The hugs, the happy tears, and the sheer disbelief on Grace's face as she realized her whole family had been in on it made for some of our favorite images from the entire session.
We wrapped things up with golden hour portraits of the two of them (and a very good boy — their pup made a cameo appearance too), with the Clearwater skyline, a passing pirate ship, and that unbeatable Gulf Coast sunset as the backdrop.
Congratulations, Aaron and Grace we so loved being there!!
