{Courtney & Joe @The Oaks at Windsong}
Courtney and Joe have been together for a little over two years. They met each other in high school but it wasn't until college that they started dating:-) Joe proposed to Courtney in the Keys at the top a lighthouse overlooking the water. Courtney and her bridesmaids all had adorable monogrammed robes! They had champagne colored bridesmaid dresses and all wore gold shoes. Courtney wore a beautiful Victorian lace gown that looked stunning on her She wore her school colors proudly with an FSU garter! The guys wore cream-colored dress shirts with awesome leather suspenders, the perfect touch to this country Victorian wedding! Joe wore a tan vest to match. Their venue, The Oaks at Windsong, is a beautiful property sprawled across acres and acres of grassy fields with tall oak trees. Courtney's parents kept joking with her that they were going to decorate her whole wedding with balloons, so they had to get just one big one which made for some really fun bridal part pics:-)
The ceremony was in front of a round reflection pond and the guests were seated on the other side looking across the water where Courtney and Joe stood with their bridal party and pastor. Joe and Courtney tied their lives together with the cord of three strands. This cord represents God, Joe, and Courtney, all braided together. The reception style was "Victorian Country". A canopy of stringed was above all the tables. Beautiful centerpieces with alternating tall and short florals were all around the dance floor. Each table had combinations of lace, burlap, lanterns, antique keys, and wooden table numbers. Courtney even went to antique stores and thrift stores before the wedding to get all sorts of different saucers to have the cake served on, which went perfectly with the different patterned china. The buffet was sprawling across the length of the reception. Guests dined on fish tacos, a mashed potato bar, pulled chicken and pork with pasta. Along with the cake there were cake pops, chocolate chip cookies, fruit tarts, mini cheesecakes, spoons of crème brûlée, and little shot glasses with chocolate mousse. We were able to steal the bride and groom away for some nighttime photos in front of the Joe's family's antique car. There was lots of dancing and even a dueling FSU/ UF fight song. They departed through a tunnel of all their guests waving ribbons. Congrats Courtney & Joe!!! xoxoxo
