Safety Harbor Resort Wedding | Heather & Hunter

Heather and Hunter’s intimate destination wedding was hosted at the Safety Harbor Resort. These two, and their families, came down from Missouri to celebrate the couple’s union. It was a very warm August day, but the sky was clear of clouds, which is always a blessing for a summer day in Florida! Although the festivities were indoors, we’re always hopeful for a no rain wedding day for our couples.

Heather’s something borrowed included her grandmother’s ring, her mother’s earrings and her sister’s earrings. Hunter also gifted her a new charm bracelet, which was able to fill the part of something new. Her bouquet was a gorgeous mix of blush and white roses with cascading eucalyptus greenery. Her fitted, off-the-shoulder a-line style gown is a true classic! She’ll look back on her photos in 30 years and still love it!

Their ceremony was held in Safety Harbor’s dedicated climate-controlled tent. It has beautiful natural light and permanent white ceiling drapery that softens the space wonderfully. It’s the perfect “indoor-outdoor” option for Florida! They decorated the arch/arbor area with blush and white florals, to coordinate with the bouquets and reception centerpieces.

Following their vows, it was time for some outdoor photos! Safety Harbor has a pretty vast landscape, so we took out time exploring the gardens and surrounding areas so that we had plenty of couple’s portraits! And of course, the couple’s adorable dogs that they love so much had to join us for a bit, of course! Although they weren’t part of the ceremony or reception,  they did get dressed up for pictures. Seriously, so adorable when our couples include their babies (furry or otherwise).

Heather and Hunter’s guest list was around 30, it was a great number for Safety Harbor’s Athena Ballroom. It’s about 1,800 square feet, which world great for dinner and dancing! The navy, blush and white gold accent decor matched the traditional feel of the venue.

After speeches and cake cutting, we snuck away for a few more portraits. We love playing in the nighttime light! It’s fun to mix it up.

Congratulations again, Heather and Hunter and happy two-month anniversary!
