Our NEW Carrie Wildes Photography Studio

I’ve got some fun prettiness of my own to show you!! From August to December 2022 along with busy season we also were doing a full home and new studio renovation. It was the ENTIRE house and I mean entire, transforming it from 1979 to modern lake house.

One of the main reasons we bought this house is because the side facing garage had already been converted into air conditioned space and already had 4 exterior doors for a separate entrance like my other studio (which if you’ve been there it was SO pretty!). This room had tons of potential it just needed some help. These before and afters are pretty crazy. That carpet doesn’t look too bad in photos but it was disgusting and smelled like a wet dog! So new flooring, paint, trim, daylight recessed lighting, fan, and one accent wall of wallpaper. I love a good wallpaper and that one is from Anthropologie, they have some many amazing options and their photos are pretty true to what it looks like in person.

One thing this room did not have was a bathroom, which we wanted for my clients and also because this room can double as a guest suite with that queen pull out sofa. I fell in love with that aqua hex tile and put it in the shower niche and also around the mirror. It’s not a huge bathroom but is bright and open so feels like a good sized space.

The best part about this is actually the outside not the inside! We are directly on a ski sized lake where the sunsets in the backyard! Last night I got to do my first sunset engagement session with Katie and Hunter and it was so fun! The exterior is white brick so also makes for a great backdrop. Inside, with all that great light it’s perfect for personal branding sessions and headshots. I’ve done a few already, you’ll see one of Travis and Richard. So, welcome!!! Can’t wait for you to see it in person!!
