Susan & Mike's wedding and reception was in front of the big tank in the coral reef room at the Florida Aquarium. They chose the acrylic album cover which is literally perfect with the photo on the cover. I absolutely love the little lady bug signature that Apple Blossoms floral puts on their floral pieces so it had to be in their album! Take a peek at some of our favorite spreads below!
Brittany & Rick's deep sea wedding details are featured on the The Knot! They have one of my favorite cake toppers of all time:-) Click on the photo below to check out their feature!
Brittany and Rick are high school sweethearts, who have been together for 8 years. They had a beautiful "under the sea" themed elegant wedding at the Florida Aquarium! Brittany had handmade necklaces made for each of her girls and octopus hair clips. She wore earrings from her grandmother and a starfish necklace Rick had given her. The blue heart sewn on her dress was made from a shirt that her grandfather used to wear. It was extra, extra special because he was supposed to walk her down the aisle, but had recently passed away. The reception was decorated with black linens, pops of purple and orange florals and I LOVE the center pieces. They were glowing with jelly fish in them. The cake had the cutest bride and groom sharks. Every Saturday night Tampa was fireworks over the river and that made for the perfect ending to their evening!! Congrats Brittany and Rick! xoxoxo
Gabby and David are both Marine Biologists at Harbor Branch Oceanographic which is why the Florida Aquarium was the perfect location for their wedding! Gabby teaches college courses and David was actually one of her students, that is how they met:-) They are a perfect match! David is an avid fisherman and scuba diver so the boutineers were hand made fishing lures. Gabby also had a custom made lure in the shape of a heart made for David! Both the ceremony and reception were in front of the big tank with blue and aqua accents. Gabby designed all of the table decor herself with some help from some very special friends. Each table was named after a different sea creature. So many fun and beautiful moments! Congrats Gabby and David!!
Rachel had her Grandfather's Firefighting Chief badge along with a piece of her mothers wedding gown incorperated into her bouquet. Her something blue was comfy blue shoes! Ryan gave all his groomsmen a luxury shaving kit and they all lathered up do a shave before the ceremony. He wore a firetruck tie clip that belonged to Rachel's Grandpa. Ryan is in the coast Guard and wore his uniform along with his groomsmen who were also in uniform. Ryan said he and Rachel decided on the Aquarium because they both love water. With him being in the coast guard, and Rachel being into surfing, as well as the huge salt water fish tank he has at home, it was the perfect location for them:-) After first look at the Marriott, the bridal party rode the trolley to the aquarium. The penguins walked down the aisle just before Rachel and her dad! During the ceremony, they tied a unity cord together to symbolize their union. Their cocktail hour was in the wetlands, and guests were able to get up close and personal with some very friendly stingrays in the touch tank. It was a nautical theme, but with lots of personal details! The lobby was fully draped in white and the tables were decorated with glass vases of sand, candles, and a starfish on ribbons. Each table was named after the NATO phonetic alphabet. "Alpa, beta, Charlie, delta....etc.. The cake was decorated with flags from around the world. Rachel and Ryan cut it with Rachel's Grandfathers saber from the navy when he was an officer. After lots of dancing they exited with sparklers! Congrats Rachel and Ryan!!! xoxoxo
The excitement began and David and Stephanie saw each other for the first time as bride and groom! I love this color scheme, coral with white and navy accents! The cute little flower girls had on navy and white chevron dresses. Their ceremony was in front of the sharks and turtles and the cocktail hour and reception outdoors on the patio. The sharks definitely make for some fun photos:-) They danced the night away and exited to bubbles as the new Mr & Mrs. David Troop!! Congrats you two!!! xoxoxo
I have a questionnaire I send out when our brides first contact us, and on there is "tell us how you met or random facts". I always love reading what people tell me, and I couldn't sum it up better than Heather, so here's what she told me:
"Jason and I met at a krewe meeting....I didn't remember him, something he has NEVER let me live down! We have a ton of mutual friends yet we are nothing alike...I truly believe it was meant to be, as I spent many years living outside of Tampa, which is my home. I decided after many years away that I was going to come home and make a life for myself here, good or bad...I met Jason 2 days later and here we are getting married. Jason is the life of the party, very talkative and extremely kind, he is everything I never dreamed I would find!!! We both love our families immensely...almost as much as we love beer!!! He is a fourth degree blackbelt in karate while I take boxing classes and try to beat him up whenever he isn't looking...that almost never works in my favor. We have 3 cats, no children and a fantastically busy life that I wouldn't trade for anything in the world. We aren't perfect, but we work perfectly together."
I love her last sentence. Their wedding was exactly how Heather described them, full of family, friends, and a lot of laughter! They had party masks for everyone and Heather wore teal shoes with peacock feathers for the ceremony and aqua cowboy boots for the reception. I especially love their cake topper, you have to look from behind to see what i mean:-) Jason's best man gave a little more of a roast than a toast and had everyone laughing till their were tears in their eyes. Congrats Heather and Jason!! xoxoxo
Liana flowers were coral calla lilies with tiny photos of her 2 grandfathers, grandmother, and great uncle that had passed away. Rhinestones were swirled around the heels of her shoes and covered her clutch. The girls wore knee length flowy coral dresses and the guys were in black tuxes with coral accents. Aaron works in aviation and his cuff links were little propellers. They said their I do's in front of the big aquarium and my favorite little penguins even walked down the aisle too:-)
Liana and Aaron's dogs Rudy and Tiger are their furry little children, and they had a custom made cake topper with their new family on it! The words in frosting on the cake were all of their favorite things to say to each other. An amazing evening had by all ending with a sparkler exit. Congrats Liana and Aaron!! xoxoxo

Caitlin's something blue was a little heart stitched on the inside of her gown, and her something old was a hankercheif from her grandmother. Mahir's gift to her was a diamond bracelet and her gift to him was a boudoir album:-) They decided to get married at the Florida Aquarium because that is one of their favorite date spots for a fun afternoon. Their ceremony was in front of the giant tank, as it should be:-) The tank looks totally different depending on how high the sun is, the lighting in the room, and if you use off camera lighting or not. One of us shoots with 2 off camera flashes and the other shoots some natural light and even a little on camera just to get the different looks as you will see. Their reception was a crazy fun party outside by the tiki bar. The whole family danced all night long. Congrats Caitlin and Mahir! xoxox
Is there really anything better than penguins as guests at your wedding? Kim and Josh were super excited to have the penguins come out and surprise everyone at the end of their ceremony at the aquarium:-) Right before the processional started, Josh sat down next to Kim's mom to say hi it was so sweet! Kim has 2 sisters, one of them being her twin sister Melissa. Her sister Jessica's little baby Nya was one of the flower girls and just a cute little smiley doll. We love the aquarium because it's a really fun, and challenging lighting situation that you can just really be creative with the tanks, fog, and all the interesting places to shoot. Hot pink and white with just a little bit of orange and green. Their glass center pieces had tiny penguins in them and the cake was a work of art! Congrats Kim and Josh!!!! xoxoxox
Torie's favorite color is purple. When mark proposed her gave her a gorgeous ring that his dad had made for his mom while he was in the vietnam war. Her wedding band was an eternity band of black diamonds. One of my favorite parts of the weddings we get to capture at the Florida Aquarium is the penguins:-) Specifically this time because not only did the guests get to see them during the cocktail hour but we got to get some really fun pics of them with Torie and Mark and their bridal party, plus I got to pet them:-) They are so cute!!! It was a sweet and romantic wedding with lots of candles and black and white damask with purple accents. You could feel the joy and happiness! Thanks for letting us be a part of it!!! xoxoxo

Melissa and Jonathan said their I do's in front of the panoramic fish tank at the Florida Aquarium. Classic red and black with a little hint of pink and green. I love the new outdoor deck overlooking the water the Aquarium has, it was a beautiful evening! Congrats Melissa and Jonathan!!
