Olivia just turned 1! She is so full of expression and personality, not to mention that beautiful curly hair! You might be able to tell she's also a daddy's girl:-) These are just a few of my favorites moments with Vanessa, Eric and Olivia! When they came over to the studio for the unveiling session there were happy tears as I played the slideshow of all the edited images. I can't even put into words how rewarding it feels to create these special moments that will be loved and cherished for a lifetime!
We've gotten to photograph so many special moments with this sweet family! Lyani texted me a photo of a gender reveal balloon and asked if I had time for a little session with them. UM yes! This is the 2nd gender reveal sesh we've done and everyone was sure it was a girl this time except for Avery. and he was totally right! It's a boy! So much love, joy, and surprise in these. Congratulations on your new little one coming soon!! We can't wait to meet him!
I have had the honor of photographing Maureen & Ralph's, engagement session, wedding and now as a family of 3! Their little beauty Raven just turned 1 and we did this super casual lifestyle session at our studio. Maureen has been riding horses pretty much her whole life and even had some equestrian details in their wedding so my little wooden rocking horse was perfect! Both of Raven's outfits were handmade. The bubble outfit from Laine Avery and the outfit in the very last photo is from Henny Lou Kids, Maureen's cousin's Etsy shop. Raven's birthday party was kitty themed with pink and gold sequins. She was not a huge fan of getting her hands down and dirty in that cake but so adorable!!!! Happy Birthday Raven!!!
Jan and Mark are getting married next month! They wanted their engagement session to include their girls Jessica and Kd, Jessica's boyfriend Kyle, and of course all their pets! Jan had just gotten this sweet new Jeep which we had to use. I love this session because it's totally them at home with their family. Their dogs loved being in the photos, their cats not so much so they got their own portraits:-) We are SO looking forward to their wedding on June 9th!!!
It's almost Mother's day! There really isn't anything better to be able to post on this mother's day weekend than this sweet sweet newborn session with Wake and his mom and dad! I got to know and love Erin and Joe having photographed their wedding last March and am beyond happy to have the honor of photographing their sweet family of 3. Wake's nursery is so cute, decorated in navy with stars, books, and the wagon that was a gift from his Aunt. I had to take all the books out and use it as a prop:-) Happy first mother's day Erin and congratulations again you guys!!! xoxoxo
This sweet little guy has 2 big brothers that are going to teach him how to play all the video games:-) His grandparents were in town so we had to include them in some photos with him as well. His room is themed Winnie the Poo and he fit right in line with Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet in his adorable Winnie the Poo outfit. Here's a few of my favs from their sweet newborn/family session!
We photographed Nicole and David's wedding almost 4 years ago and at the time they were living in NYC. I am SO excited that they not only moved back to Tampa but we get to photograph them as a party of 3!!! Aiden loves Elmo and is just so freaking adorable!!! Nicole had this backdrop custom made by an artist friend of theirs, Matthew David. Aiden wasn't quite sure to make of the cake at first but with a little cheering on he had a pretty fabulous cake smash! Besides the actual photography part, I LOVE getting to see our couples grow into families and capture these amazing moments for them. It was so hard to choose but here's a few of my favs!
This was an extra special maternity session at Dinosaur world:-) Kristin has a dinosaur themed nursery planned for their little T-Rex that's on the way. I love this location because besides the dinosaurs there's so many tall trees with gorgeous light streaming though. How cute are those wooden T-Rex blocks on the belly? The best part is that we photographed their wedding 4 years ago and I absolutely love seeing them become a family of 4 and can't wait for their newborn session!
The last time I saw Tristan he was a squishy newborn and now he's off and running on his own! Look at those big blue eyes. I love they colors the navy, and burgundy colors Cinda chose (and those short sparkly boots:-).
Ray, Emily, Nolan, Michell, and Hannah! Emily Loves Christmas and wanted a fun lifestyle session at their home. Their front yard has big mossy trees and the sunlight coming through was gorgeous. Nolan is the oldest and super cool, Mitchell is the middle one super handsome and missing a few teeth, and Hannah is the youngest. She's a sweet and spicy little beauty. After we were done outside the kids jumped in their Christmas jammies for some fun ones jumping on the bed. So fun!!!
I love when we get to see our couples family's grow over the years. We've started photographing Autumn and Colin in 2013 with their engagement session through their little cutie Dax who turned one a few months ago. Autumn's family was all together in town and I got to see them for this super fun and rowdy beach session. Little miss Hannah Kate wasn't super thrilled about it, but she powered through and we got such funny and sweet moments with them all together. My favorite is Autumn's parents with all their grandkids, you'll see which one I'm talking about:-) We even got one with the sunset! I so loved seeing you all!!! xoxoxo
Moms, you know how rare it is that you get to be in nice photos with your kids right? As photographers it's even more rare. For Mothers day this year, all I wanted was some photos of me and my two little cuties. Last minute, I decided to make it a little impromptu shoot with my photographers and their kids! We have to get Haley with her boys and Linda with her daughter later since they weren't able to come. It was a little rowdy mainly due to my 2, and so fun having everyone here. Miriam is from Mexico, and her mom was in town so we got to get their 3 generations together. Miriam's loud and infections laugh is contagious (and hereditary:-) I especially love those ones of her and her mom laughing because it's just so them. She has two kids, Regina who is almost 3 and Leo who is 6. Kandice has 2 boys, Jackson who is 10, and Mason who is 7. They love their mom so much and are just the sweetest boys. They are past the threenager rowdy age, so their session was the easiest. There's a few of the bribery with suckers and lip gloss at the end. I just love these moments and I think we'll have to make this an annual event.
Jen, Tony, & Poppy did a little beach vacay here from Ohio. The extra special part is that Jen and I actually went to high school together and haven't seen her (besides Facebook:-) in 20 years! It made me so happy that she thought of me for their annual family photo session. Poppy is almost 4 and such a little beauty full of spunk and personality. The very last photo is a family tradition they have that I think is so unique and fun. They do a photo within a photo on canvas wherever they go that year! So awesome seeing your sweet family and being a part of your tradition!
And just like that this little guy is 1 and on the run! I love photographing babies at newborn, 6 months, and 1 year because they just change SO much. As a parent, you try to soak it in as much as you can, but it just goes by so fast (and usually you're so tired!:-) We used this cute little navy chair in each of his sessions so you can really see how much this little peanut has grown. He is so cute and I just love seeing your sweet family Autumn and Collin! xoxoxo
Jorge's mom, Lilian planned a special celebration for him and his friend Luis as they just graduated from University of Tampa! They are from Venezuela, and many of their family members flew in to join them. After photos on campus Lilian had a fabulous lunch planned at Cena, with custom favors, chocolates, and deliciousness. Graduating from college is such a huge accomplishment and excitement for what the future holds. Congrats Jorge and Luis, much success in your lives and careers ahead!!
Those blue eyes!!!!! How adorable is this little guy with his tiny Toms shoes and he has the best grumpy face:-) He's so close to being off on the run all by himself, just needs a little help from his daddy. Heather and Crafton, I love seeing your sweet family and this little guy growing up. xoxoxo
This little cutie napped his way through to newborn session perfection:-) The last time I photographer Lauren and Josh's family, little miss Aubrey was a newborn. She was so sweet to him and excited to be a big sister!
We did Felicia and Jason's wedding almost 5 years ago, and it was so much fun to photograph them as a family of 4. This is everything I love about family portraits. The lighting was insanely perfect and those 2 girls are just too sweet. These are some of my personal favorites that capture the essence of their family. So great seeing you guys!!
A parent’s worst fear in knowing something is wrong with their child and then finding out the diagnosis is that "something" is cancer. This is the nightmare that Alisha and Jeremy have walked through for the past 3 years. Their sweet boy, Zeke, was diagnosed with Leukemia when he was just 3 years old. He has been a patient at All Children's Hospital during this time. They have an amazing staff that truly cares and grows close to their patients. Alisha and Jeremy's whole family came out to celebrate Zeke's, last chemo treatment. I was blessed with the opportunity to be there to photograph this monumental day. There really aren't words to describe the feelings I had while witnessing this! It was a mix of joy and excitement, sadness and fear, all at the same time. As a mom of two boys, I was overcome with emotion as Alisha held her baby's hand as they accessed his port and took blood, hooked him up to the machine that pumped chemo into his little body for the last time. No parent wants to go through this but this family is such an example of strength and endurance. They all joined hands and prayed, giving thanks to God for His healing of their boy. I literally was brought to tears as I watched Zeke ring the bell in the hall! This bell signifies the kids' last treatment and remission of cancer. Then again, I got all teary eyed as Alisha and Zeke walked the hall, hand in hand, to thank and hug all the nurses for their amazing care. I absolutely love photographing weddings and all the joyous occasions we get to be a part of, but, his may go down as my all time favorite photo shoot ever. Thank you Palmer Family for allowing us to be a part of such a monumental and blessed day!! We also wanted to share from Alisha what this day meant in her words:
“To put into words from a mothers heart on the emotions and feeling of this day might be challenging but here it is. My son Zeke was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia on Sept 5, 2013, over 3 years I waited for this day, this day to say to my son "this is your last chemotherapy treatment". In the pediatric cancer world this conversation from one parent to a child is rarely had, I am beyond blessed to say "My son is done with chemotherapy treatments" because not all parents can say that. This is a chapter in my son’s life I pray to the Lord we never have to revisit again. But, from day one God's presence and peace was with me. I didn't know the out-come of this journey but I trusted the Lord through every hospital stay, fever, blood transfusion, platelet transfusion, chemo treatment in his port and every 3 months of chemotherapy in is spine and up to 12 pills at night I had to give him chemo, steroids, seeing specials from dermatologist, cardiologist and lung doctors, many hour of sleepless nights I knew the Lord was by my side. Zeke's joy from day 1 was amazing, he never complained, NEVER. I am beyond grateful for the nurses and doctors that made this journey as pleasant as possible. Faith is all I had for each day, to see life through a different light, to be thankful for everyday and not to worry about the small stuff. Every moment is a blessing and I am beyond grateful to have these still memories to remind me God is always faithful and It Is Finished.”
